All My Love–C4C #323

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Crazy 4 Challenges! Peggy’s our hostess this month and here’s this week’s challenge: “Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and I am sure we will be seeing a lot of pinks and reds. The challenge today is to make a monochromatic card using pinks and reds.”

OK, as a rule, I’m not a fan of monochromatic color schemes—I like more diversity in color but that’s why they call these challenges, right? So I set about to make it the least painful possible ;-) I started with a Stone Gray card stock base, then added a Sweet Tooth card stock panel, popped up on foam mounting tape. Next I stamped some Ranger Watercolor paper with Versamark and Abstract Background and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Then I cut out five sizes of hearts from LJD All My Love Die-namics and added a ridge of embossing on the outside edge by running a Versamark marker on the edge and heat embossing.



Next I colored each heart with a different color red or pink Peerless Watercolors and popped them up on foam. The sentiment is also from LJD All My Love and was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 4 Die-namics and popped up as well. To finish off, I added some clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
