A well-placed button can impart beautiful tactile interest to your paper projects. When you have the ability to die cut your buttons from a host of cool colors, the possibilities are limitless. Our team has shared their considerable talents this month to create projects ranging from romantic to bold & graphic - each featuring Blueprints that include button elements.
What a fun challenge!!! I decided to go with a rainbow theme for this card. I used Blueprints 6 Die-namics, Blueprints 8 Die-namics, and Blueprints 14 Die-namics cut from Razzle Berry card stock, Wild Cherry card stock, Orange Zest card stock, Pineapple card stock, Gumdrop Green card stock, Blu Raspberry card stock, Blue Yonder card stock, Lavender Fields card stock, and Grape Jelly card stock for my button element.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added a layer of Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and popped it up on the base with a “piped” edge of Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack and foam mounting tape. The sentiment is from Rainbow of Happiness, stamped with Black Licorice dye ink. I cut “Color” from Sweet Tooth card stock with Color the Rainbow Die-namics, then colored it with Copic markers and adhered it in place to complete the sentiment.
To add the rainbow, I strung the buttons together with some black twine and adhered each one with a piece of foam tape.
And that’s if for me—thanks so much for stopping by today! See you soon!
