Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! I’m the hostess this week and I chose my colors based on this gorgeousninspiration piece.
This card was easy peasy and came together quickly once I decided on my design. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a piece of Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack along the bottom and a strip of Farm Fresh Gingham Paper Pack for contrast and a pop of color.
Next I stamped Sketched Blooms with Black Licorice hybrid ink on Ranger Watercolor Paper and colored only one flower with Peerless Watercolors and popped it up on foam mounting tape on the base. I stamped the sentiment, from LLD Tickled Pink, with Versamark on Translucent Vellum, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped it up on each end with bits of foam mounting tape. To cover those bits up, I added some enamel dots in the challenge colors.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD382 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd382 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented March Guest Designer, Leslie Miller!!
