Hi, all, I'm back with this week's MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here's this week's color combo: Razzleberry, Orange Fizz, Cornflower, and Green Room. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I really think Pretty Posies is my new favorite flower stamp set and Die-namics. I love them so much, so I got them out again today—hope you’re not getting tired of seeing them ‘cause I’m not tired of using them ;-) My card started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, on which I applied molding paste through One Way Chevron stencil and allowed it to dry. This stencil really provides a great backgroun without being to “fussy”, KWIM? Next I cut a Stitched Mini Scallop Oval STAX Die-namics from Ranger Watercolor paper and did a soft wash with Peerless Watercolors. I stamped the sentiment from Rainbow Greetings with Black Licorice hybrid ink and popped it up on foam mounting tape on the base.
Then I stamped lots of Pretty Posies on Ranger Watercolor paper, cut them out with Pretty Posies Die-namics, and colored them with Peerless Watercolors and a small water brush to match the challenge colors. I arranged them on the card and adhered them with hot glue and foam tape, then finished off by adding some clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
