Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I wanted to play with the recently release Frightful Friends and was determined to make it work—and I think I did. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice dye ink. On a panel of Smooth White card stock, I sponged my eerie sky using, light to dark, Banana Split dye ink, Orange Zest dye ink, Grape Jelly dye ink, Blueberry dye ink, and Nightshift Blue dye ink. Smooth White card stock makes sponging so much easier because, well, it’s SMOOTH! I splattered some clear water and then some watered down white craft paint to create my starry sky.
Next I added Grassy Edges Die-namics cut from Gumdrop Green card stock, Frightful Fence Die-namics, cut from Black Licorice card stock, and the moon from LJD Spooky Sweets Die-namics cut from Banana Split card stock. I stamped the images with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, and popped them up on foam mounting tape to finish
Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher; one winner is chosen at random each week!
