Hello and welcome to MFT’s October Release Replay Design Team Challenge! Today our team is taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present. We can’t wait to share our ideas with you!
I hadn’t had a chance to use the very versatile Happy Wonderful Christmas Die-namics so I got it out and started playing. First of all I applied a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush to Ranger Watercolor Paper allowed it to dry, and cut it out. I added some Merry & Bright Paper Pack to a Sweet Tooth card stock base and created a shaker element with my watercolor element using Heat Resistant Acetate card stock, foam mounting tape, Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins, and Topping Set – Diamonds for the filler.
As an accent, I cut Let It Snowflake Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock and popped them up in the corner.
*****
I wasn’t going to waste those gorgeous watercolored letters so I used them on another card.
This card also started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I added a strip of Merry & Bright Paper Pack across the bottom then another panel of Sweet Tooth card stock was popped up on foam mounting tape after tying around some baker’s twine.
Using the negative of the die cut from some scrap paper, I positioned the letters, also popped up on foam and finished off with some enamel dots.
And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
