Hello and welcome to Day Five of MFT’s December Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing Over the Moon for Ewe Stamp Set, Over the Moon for Ewe Die-namics, Leaping Slider Channels Die-namics, Spin & Slide Discs, Blueprints 33 Die-namics, and Bold Beautiful Die-namics. Release is on December 11th at 10am Eastern so mark your calendars and start whispering to Santa :) And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details, including more samples from the MFT Design Team.
OK, I saw these sheep, and being still in Christmas mode, I immediately thought of a sweatshirt I got for my DH (who was a high school Spanish teacher) many years ago and thought I’d just try to play off of it. I actually have another idea with this theme percolating so we’ll see if I get it done, LOL!
For this card, I kept it pretty simple, with a Stone Gray card stock base, splattered with slightly watered-down Copic Opaque White for the snow. Then I stamped the images and cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics and colored them with Copic markers. The Santa hats are from Deck the Howls Stamp Set, colored with Copics and fussy cut out.
I added Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, popped up on foam for dimension, popped up the sheep, and added sentiment using LLD Stitched Banner Alphabet cut from Wild Cherry Card Stock and adhered directly to the “snow” for the finish. I love how this turned out!
*****
For my second card I went even more CAS, using Bold Beautiful Die-namics. To begin, I sponged the background with, top to bottom, Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, and Purple Rain Premium Dye Inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper.
Then I stamped a sentiment from Simply Fabulous Sayings with Versamark, heat embossed with silver detail embossing powder, and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.
Next I cut Bold Beautiful Die-namics from Silver Sparkle Card Stock, adhered it to the card front with spray adhesive, and finished off with some Sparkling Clear Mix sequins.
And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be back tomorrow for Day Four of MFT’s December Release Countdown so I hope to see you then!
