Merry Christmas from Our Flock to Yours–MFT October Hits & Highlights Feature

Hi everyone, welcome to MFT’s October Hits & Highlights Feature! Bringing classic designs out of storage as the holidays approach each year is one of our favorite things to do — it’s always a treat to revisit those festive designs! Adding to that stash of products each year is equally exciting though…refreshing your collection with updated designs is exhilarating. This month, we’re challenging the team to combine their favorite MFT holiday classics with October Release products to come up with appealing new combinations to add to their stack of seasonal cards




I hadn’t gotten around to using Merry Christmas Blend Stamp Set and Die-namics so I thought this was a perfect time to get them out and see what I could pair them with from the past releases. Once I had them stamped and cut out, I decided to use it as a platform of sorts for some sweet birds from Tweet Holidays Stamp Set and Die-namics. First, I sponged the background with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper, splattered it with clean water, and when that was dry with some black acrylic ink using a small art brush, stamped the sentiment with Extreme Black hybrid ink, then adhered the panel to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape.

Then I stamped Merry Christmas Blend with Red Hot and Sour Apple dye inks, cut them out and popped them up on the card front with foam. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped them up on the card front also with foam tape.
