Birthday Wishes - Color Throwdown Challenge #691

 

Howdy and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week our hostess is Amy Rysavy and her challenge is based upon this very cool retro-inspired dress. Hope to see you playing along with us this week!

It has been a LONG time since I used die cut flowers on a card and I thought they would be just the ticket for these colors. To begin, though, and on a Chantilly Cream card stock card base, I adhered a strip of Colorful Canvas Patterned Paper, then a narrow strip of Blue Beyond card stock, then adhered a Chantilly Cream card front with foam tape.

Next I cut Stitched Flowers Die-namics from Fire Coral and Sour Apple card stocks and assembled the flower and leaves. On Blue Beyond card stock cut with A2 Circle STAX, I heat embossed the sentiment, from All-Occasion Scripted Greetings Stamp Set with Ranger Silver Pearl embossing powder and popped it up on he card front, then adhered the die cut flower with hot glue.

I finished off with some enamel dot in the challenge colors and was done!
