The butterfly…CPS #222

Welcome back! This week, MFT is sponsoring Card Positioning Systems. Here’s the sketch:

222

Love this sketch and here’s my take on it. I decided to go Shabby Chic again today :) Using papers from Pink Paislee’s Butterfly Garden I cut out the Four Points Frame Die-namics die and stamped a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Butterflies (temporarily out of stock). Then I stamped a butterfly from the set and cut it out. The rest is just following the sketch, some extreme distressing and some sweet, sweet embellishments.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set and a border using the Medium Simply Scallops Die-namics die. I removed some of the pearls from the front-of-the-card bling to use on the border. They were going to be covered up, so why not, right?

Hi there - MFT sponsors CPS

Happy Sunday! Gonna be another hot and humid day here in South Central Virginia. I might just stay inside and stamp. Need to do some watering, though, so I guess I'll be out in it for a while after all.

Today, My Favorite Things is sponsoring the Card Positioning Systems sketch for the coming week so I thought I'd play along. I'm using a new set called Wyatt Says Wow, stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel (temporarily out of stock) and colored with Copic markers. I used my Jumbo Scallop Die-namics die (also temporarily out of stock) to cut out the denim border, then added some 1" twill, some twine, and a couple of buttons.

Here's the inside:

Thanks for stopping by today. Check out the sketch and play along if you get a chance!

Thanks a Latte - Card Positioning Systems #164

Happy Sunday! First, I was not disappointed in my visit to the Ruby Rose Tea Room yesterday. The old Victorian house was decorated to the nines with all kinds of Victorian frou frou and the food was scrumptious!

Now, on to today's card. Card Positioning Systems is sponsored by My Favorite Things this week, so I thought I'd play along. I'm using Hot Stuff (looks like it's sold out right now) for my card, and the image was stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and mostly paper pieced. Then layers and a punched border, ribbon and buttons (from the MFT Spring button collection) were added and it was done.

Check out the inside:

Thanks for dropping by today--hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

MFT Sponsors Card Postioning Systems!!

This week's Card Positioning Systems' challenge is sponsored by My Favorite Things. I decided to use this Sweetie Pie Flopsey set for my card. I *swear* I can't get enough Flopsey! I stamped him on a Cream Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored him with Copic markers before cutting him out. I used the cream because I didn't know exactly what I was going to do with him when I started but I knew I was going to use this patterned paper. In the end it didn't matter since I cut him out ;-) See that pumpkin button? I've had it literally for YEARS. As soon as I decided on this paper, I thought of this button and started looking for it. I can't believe I found it in about 3 minutes! Ah, organization ;-)

So, head on over to CPS and join in on the challenge! And don't forget the contest at MFT Member Forum at SCS:

So You Think You Can Stamp?
