Flourishes Friday - Just buzzin' by to say...

I've got another card for you today using one of Flourishes' latest releases, Bee My Honey. I just love this flower image with all the bees buzzing around, don't you?

I stamped the image on Classic White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. Then I cut it out with Spellbinders Standard Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities dies and my Grand Calibur machine. I then stamped more single bee three times, once on vellum for the wings. I hope you can see the dimension I got with the vellum--I love how they turned out! I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with Spellbinders Tag Trio die and attached it with some sweet gingham ribbon and a button.

Then I just had to finish off the inside with another bee and a sentiment and frame from Sweet Violets.

The Sun Is Still Shining–CTD #151 and MFTWSC #29

It’s that time of the week again! Whew! This time of the week really rolls around fast, doesn’t it, LOL! Today’s Color Throwdown challenge colors are RAINBOW!

Here’s this week’s sketch. You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I decided to bring out one of my favorite Flopsey sets for this card, Rainfall Flopsey. So, OK, it’s a little colorful and busy, I’ll admit. But it’s happy!!! :) Look at her boots—I want them!

Flopsey is colored with Copic markers and her umbrella and boots were paper pieced. I tied a big ol’ sunny yellow gingham ribbon on with a twine-tied button to hold the sentiment on. I’m SO not over bows :) I added some small rhinestone raindrops to the rainbow and popped Flopsey up on foam dots

Here’s the inside, with more die cuts and another sweet sentiment from the set.

I used these  dies on this card: Jumbo Open Scallop Die-namics, Sunshine Die-namics, Flat Bottomed Clouds Die-namics, First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics, and Rainbow Die-namics.

So, what do you think about that??? How cool is that??
And now, here’s Sunflower Who’s That Girl. I love that she’s another circle WTG. I stamped her on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored with Copic markers and paper pieced her dress.

Then I cut her out and matted her twice with a little stitching. The sentiment (from the mini set) was stamped on a Notched Tag Die-namics die cut and slipped on to the bow. Since she’s holding a sunflower, I added some Upsy Daisy Die-namics sunflowers for accent, along with a butterfly using a Butterflies Die-namics die.


Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the mini set and a border using the Faux Crochet Die-namics die.

Love Blooms

I have another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen card for you today. The theme is still things we love. I love flowers and growing them, so a card with flowers was a no-brainer :) I decided to go CAS with this card.

I’m using How Does Your Garden Grow from MFT for my images. Very simple layout with a little twine for balance.
