Hi, all, and welcome to Day Five of MFT’s December Release Countdown! No, you haven’t missed anything--this month we have five Release Countdown days. Release is on December 2nd at 10pm so mark your calendars—get all the details on the MFT Blog.
Today we’re showing you Blueprints 21 Die-namics, LJD Whimsical Wishes, LJD Peek-a-Boo Circle Windows Die-namics, PI Roarin' Good Day, and PI Roarin' Good Day Die-namics.
I have two cards for you today, using several of the new products. The first one is using LJD Whimsical Wishes—the design of which is a bit of a departure for Lisa, but one that I think you’ll agree she’s done well! I just LOVE those scribbles! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and stamped the long straight line drawing along the edge with Black Licorice hybrid ink. Then, on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock I stamped the scribbles, again with Black Licorice hybrid ink because I knew I was going to “watercolor” them and MFT hybrid inks are water proof.
Then, using a water brush, I colored the large circles with, top to bottom, Orange Fizz dye ink, Razzle Berry dye ink, and Lemon Drop dye ink. The smaller scribbles were done by stamping only one instance from a row, over and over. I trimmed that panel down, edged it with a strip of Black Licorice card stock and popped it up on the base. The sentiment, also from LJD Whimsical Wishes, was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I popped that up on foam and finished off with some enamel dots.
On the inside, I stamped the complete row of small scribbles and colored them to match the front, then finished off with the sentiment.
*****
My second card uses Blueprints 21 Die-namics, PI Roarin' Good Day, and PI Roarin' Good Day Die-namics, along with a couple of other soon-to-be-released products.
I started with a Black Licorice card stock base, then stamped up the new Zebra Background on some Sweet Tooth card stock, cut it out with the large die from Blueprints 21 Die-namics and popped it up on foam. I then created a little scene, starting with a piece of Berrylicious card stock, by cutting the semi-circle of holes and the two sun layers, all from Blueprints 21 Die-namics.
Then I added the jungle greenery, using Wild Greenery Die-namics, cut from a new color of cardstock, Limelight card stock (YES!! we have new colors!!!!) and Jellybean Green card stock, and the ground was made using Kraft card stock and Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics. Next I cut PI Roarin’ Good Day Die-namics from X-Press It Blending Card, stamped it with PI Roarin’ Good Day and Black Licorice hybrid ink, and colored it with Copic markers. I popped it up on foam, added the sentiment, stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder, then popped it up on foam to finish it off.
Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside.
And that’s it for today! Hope to see you back tomorrow for Day Four of MFT’s December Release Countdown!
