Hi, everyone, welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! Joan has some sweet, sweet colors for us this week based on her awesome inspiration piece!
My card started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I added a strip of Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack on the left side then worked on my main panel. I trimmed it down, stamped the sentiment, from LJD Spring Tulips, with Black Licorice dye ink, and swiped on some embossing paste through Small Brick Wall Stencil and popped it up on foam after it dried. I added two Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics, one cut from Berrylicious card stock and one from vellum and adhered them. Next I added Prima Donna Petals Die-namics, cut from Cotton Candy card stock, vellum, and Black Licorice card stock, adhered that, and finished off with some enamel dots.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD357 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd357 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented August Guest Designer, Lindsay Amhrein!
