Hello, and welcome to Day Three of MFT’s August Release Countdown!! Some pretty awesome stuff so far, am I right? Well there’s lots more to come, starting with today’s previews: PI Mummy, PI Mummy Die-namics, Frightfully Fun Halloween, Frightfully Fun Halloween Die-namics, Interactive Window STAX Die-namics, and Fringe Die-namics. Don’t forget, release is on August 4th at 10pm—get all the details at the MFT Blog.
I have a couple of cards for you today, both of them full of Halloween fun. First up is a card using the new Interactive Window STAX Die-namics—what an innovative concept! I love it and here’s how I made this card: I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then, on a piece of Ranger watercolor paper and using, top to bottom, Grape Jelly dye ink, Orange Zest dye ink, and Limelight dye ink, I painted an eerie looking sky using my window die to set my ink boundaries. Then I cut my Interactive Window STAX Die-namics and built my scene using an also new Die-namics set, Spooky House Die-namics. I tied around some black twine and set it aside.
I made my card doubly interactive by including a shaker element behind the flap.
For the shaker element back panel, I stamped some images from Frightfully Fun Halloween and added a Halloween sequin mix from Pretty Pink Posh. To finish it off, I added some enamel dots in coordinating colors. This card was so much fun to design and make—I will be using the interactive window again and again, I’m sure!

My second card uses PI Mummy.
This card started with a Grout Gray card stock base. Then, on some Sweet Tooth card stock, I sponged a night sky using, top to bottom, Blueberry dye ink, Banana Split dye ink, and Orange Zest dye ink. The moon was cut from Banana Split card stock with Blueprints 21 Die-namics and I scattered silver glitter stars, cut with Scattered Stars Die-namics and Blueprints 25 Die-namics. I added another new product in the Frightful Fence Die-namics, cut from Black Licorice card stock and added some Grassy Fields Die-namics cut from Jellybean Green card stock. The sentiment was stamped on a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics cut and stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. PI Mummy Die-namics was cut from Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb paper and stamped with PI Mummy using Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam mounting tape. How cute it she????? I love her stiff-legged walk—it’s cracking me up!! This card is also for this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
And that’s it from me for Day Three of the Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
