It’s time! MFT’s August Release is live right NOW at the MFT Boutique!! All of the products we’ve been showing you for the last five days are now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique!
I’ve had SO much fun with this release I couldn’t put any of it down! I’ve got a couple of cards to show you using a few of the new products and I’m showcasing Encouraging Words stamp set.
I’ve put together a video showing how I did the sentiment with Deco Foil on the first card and card construction. You can view it HERE on my YouTube channel or click the button below.
I started with a Brushed Gold card stock base. Then I added Four Way Chevron Cover-Up, cut from Black Licorice card stock with a vellum sentiment panel wrapped around. The sentiment was done by stamping with FlitterGlu and applying Gold Deco Foil—it’s really easy to do and is such a rich look. After that, all there was to do was to add a few enamel dots and some gold glitter stars.
*****
My second card is also using Birds of Paradise and Birds of Paradise Die-namics along with Encouraging Words. I thought it would be a fun touch to use a couple of the birds with the sweet friend sentiment.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added a strip of Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack on the right side then trimmed down another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock and popped it up on foam mounting tape. I added a Double Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics cut from Black Licorice card stock. I stamped the sentiment from Encouraging Words with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and popped it up, as well. I cut two Birds of Paradise Die-namics from Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb, stamped the coordinating images from Birds of Paradise with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored them with Copic markers, and popped them up on the edge of the sentiment circle with foam. To finish off, I added some Wild Cherry card stock hearts, cut from Fluttering Hearts Die-namics and Tag Builder Blueprints 3 Die-namics.
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR new MFT products in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs—check out the MFT Blog for all the details. Good luck!!

ReplyDeleteLove these! You used my two favorite products; the birds and the chevron cover die.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. I watched the video and loved the Deco Foil. I've never used this product, but it's a wonderful solution to using vellum for sentiments or images. I know there are some heat resistant vellum products out there, but this seems to be better than heat embossing vellum. That new background die is so wonderful. I can see using it on masculine cards which are hard for me. TFS your talent. Jan D., FL
