Hi, everyone, and welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! I’m hosting this week and I’m using a photo for my inspiration that I just love!
Now, don’t be afraid of this color combo, LOL! I’ll admit I had to think for a bit to decide what direction I was going in but once I started it all came together pretty quickly. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, and using the latest Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge added a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics cut from Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack. Next up is another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock and then a Double Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics cut from some Sheet Music Background stamped on Ranger watercolor paper with Steel Gray dye ink, then I did a watercolor wash with a Zig Clean Color Brush Marker. Each layer was popped up on foam mounting tape. Next is a sentiment from LLD Document It – Right on Target, stamped on Steel Gray card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then also popped up on foam. Then I added a Flutter of Butterflies – Solid Die-namics cut from Ranger watercolor paper and colored with a Zig marker. I topped it off with a Flutter of Butterflies – Lace Die-namics cut from black glitter paper and finished off with some enamel dots.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD355 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd355 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented August Guest Designer, Lindsay Amhrein!
