Hello and welcome to Day Five of MFT’s July Release Countdown! It’s MFT’s birth month and we have a fabulous celebration planned. Today we’re previewing LJD Celebrate with Cake Stamp Set, LJD Celebrate with Cake Die-namics, Blueprints 30 Die-namics, Big Birthday Sentiments Stamp Set, Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics, Big Balloons Stencil, and Gift Box Cover-Up Die-namics. Release is on July 5th at 10pm—be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to get all the details!
I have a lot to show you today so let’s get started! My first card started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then I added a panel of Ranger Watercolor paper on which I applied a watercolor wash using Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush. [If you haven’t tried the new waterbrush in the MFT store, you’re missing a treat! It’s actually a set of three sizes and I totally love them! No more sucking water into the barrel and the brush tips are awesome!] I popped that up on the base with foam mounting tape and added Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and Sunny Skies Die-namics, cut from Sunshine card stock.
I cut Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics from new patterned paper: Tiny Check Paper Pack (squeeeee, it’s adorable!), added the “shine” cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, and the strings cut from Primitive White card stock. I popped them up on foam mouting tape and it was done!
*****
My second card involves stencilling and die cutting :)
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then on Smooth White card stock, I stencilled Big Balloons Stencil multiple times to cover the whole thing, using Coral Crush dye ink, Sour Apple dye ink, Berrylicious dye ink, Blue Yonder dye ink, Daffodil dye ink, Cotton Candy dye ink, Wild Wisteria dye ink, then over stamped with Balloon Strings Background and Gravel Gray dye ink.
Next I cut out Happy Birthday to You Die-namics, popped it up on foam mounting tape, and finished off with a few Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins.
And that’s it from me on the first day of MFT’s July Release Countdown!! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Four of the Countdown!
