Hi, all, and welcome to Day Two of MFT’s March Card Kit—Doodled Blooms. Release is tonight, March 21st at 9pm Eastern time so set your clocks! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details.
Even though these blooms are cute and whimsical, I wanted to show that they could be used for anything—including a sympathy card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added another layer of Sweet Tooth card stock, popped up on foam mounting tape, on which to do my design. Before I popped it up, however, I stamped the sentiment, from More Essential Sentiments, with Versamark and heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder. Then I cut Brushed Gold card stock with Rectangle Word Window Frames Die-namics, the mid-month Free with $60 die set, and popped it up on foam. Next I stamped the images on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Versamark, heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder, and colored them with Peerless Watercolors.
I cut Layered Leaves Die-namics from Brushed Gold card stock and Translucent Vellum, layered them, and arranged and adhered them along with the colored images. To finish off I added some Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins and stamped and embossed some flowers on a Daffodil envelope.
And that’s it for Day Two of MFT’s March Card Kit – Doodled Blooms! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tonight for release!
