Hello! And welcome to the Day Seven of MFT’s February Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing new products designed by Lisa Johnson: LJD Forget Me Not, LJD Forget Me Not Die-namics, and LJD Spring Flower stencil, along with Blueprints 12 Die-namics! Be sure to check out all the details at the MFT Blog and make a note: release is February 11th at 10pm.
I have two cards for you today using all of these new products. My first card is pretty CAS but pretty sweet, too, I think. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then trimmed a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock down and ran it through my die cutting machine using LJD Spring Flower stencil to emboss it. Then I matted it with Black Licorice card stock and popped it up on foam tape on the card base. Next I cut out LJD Forget Me Not Die-namics and stamped the coordinating images from LJD Forget Me Not in Sour Apple ink, Grape Jelly ink, and Lemon Drop ink then popped them up on foam. I stamped the sentiment from the set on a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock with Black Licorice ink and popped it up on foam as well.
The inside was stamped with another sentiment from the set:
*****
My second card today also uses a sentiment from LJD Forget Me Not, along with a text background image from the set and Blueprints 12 Die-namics. I started with a Primitive White card stock base, then added a Kraft card stock layer onto which I stamped the text. I cut a window using a SWEET double circle die with stitching on both sides, so both the cut out and the negative have stitching!
All of the other parts of the card were die cut using elements from Blueprints 12 Die-namics, too, including the flowers and leaves and the flags. The flowers/leaves were cut from Wild Cherry card stock, Bubblegum card stock, Sour Apple card stock, and Lemon Drop card stock; all of the text was stamped with Black Licorice ink. I added a Wild Cherry button, tied with black hemp cord, to the little flag. This card is also for this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge—check out the blog for details.
The inside of this card has the same sentiment from LJD Forget Me Not.
And there you have it! The first sneaky peak from MFT’s February release—hope to see you back later today for this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge and tomorrow for Day Six of this month’s Release Countdown!
