Howdy, Color Throwdown fans! Are you ready for this week’s challenge? Monika has a soft and sweet palette for us this week, based on her gorgeous inspiration piece.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then stamped vellum with On the Diagonal Background and heat embossed with white white embossing powder. I could easily pop this up since the embossing hit the foam bits. Next I added a Dizzy Doily Duo Die-namics die cut, also cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and some leaves, cut from Kraft card stock with a die from Blueprints 14 Die-namics. Then I created a Prima Donna Petals Die-namics flower with Wisteria Wonder card stock, Pink Lemonade card stock, and Kraft card stock. I adhere it to the doily and leaves on top of some coiled up silk thread. The sentiment was stamped on a Pierced Traditional Tags STAX Die-namics, also popped up on foam.
Another sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD298 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
