Hey, everyone, it’s Crazy 4 Challenges time! Today Peggy is challenging us to make a card or project that reflects the season in your particular part of the world, for example, in the Northern Hemisphere Summer is here, in the Southern, it’s Winter time.
Well, it’s sure Summer here, so I used a nautical theme since in these parts we like the beach and boating :)
My card started with a Berrylicious card stock base, then I trimmed down a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock and stenciled on some embossing paste with MPD Fishnet Stencil. Then I stamped the sentiment, from Go Overboard, with Black Licorice ink and, with cotton yarn, tied a sailor’s knot around it. Next I cut a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics from some paper in my stash, Black Licorice ink on Sweet Tooth card stock with Striped Backgrounds. Then I cut an anchor with Let’s Get Nautical Die-namics from Grout Gray card stock, distressed it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and popped it up on foam. I finished up with some enamel dots.
Another sentiment from Go Overboard was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice ink.
And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you, including our June Guest Designer, Mary Marsh!
