Hi, all, it’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Karen has another fun sketch for us this week, one I used for a Halloween card with non-traditional colors.
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then, on a Grout Gray card stock panel, I stenciled on some embossing paste with Small Checkerboard stencil. OMGoodness, but I love this stencil!! For the top panel, I used a piece of Nightshift Blue card stock and stamped an image from Trick or Treat with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and colored it with Prismacolor pencils, OMS, and a blending stump. I love the way the blue shows through the white pencil. I stamped a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock with the “Boo” and “Spooky” words from Trick or Treat with Grout Gray ink and popped it up on top of the blue panel. I cut the ghost from Trick or Treat Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, stamped the image with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and shaded with Copic markers.
I stamped the sentiment, from Spooky Sentiments, on Nightshift Blue card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, trimmed it out by hand, and popped it up on foam.
I added some clear gems for “stars” and that finished it off.
On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Spooky Sentiments along with multiple copies of the skulls from the same set.
And that’s it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers have for you today:
