Hi, everyone, it’s time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Love this sketch—it’s a circle so of course I had to do a shaker card ;-)
I started with a Grout Gray card stock base, then cut LJD Jumbo Peek-a-Boo Circle Windows Die-namics in a Sweet Tooth card stock panel. Next I stamped the image from PI Clowning Around on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored it up with Copic markers. I was almost done when disaster struck…
…that moment with your heart sinks to your feet. I opened a Copic marker that was obviously over-filled and a huge drop fell on my image.
If it *HAD* to happen, I guess this was the best scenario because it was fixable. Another millimeter lower and I’d have had to start over. As it was, I redid the hat and paper pieced it on top of the original and you can’t tell anything ever happened. Whew! Disaster narrowly averted!
So, when that was done, I finished my shaker element and carried on. The sentiment is from the set and was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then popped up on foam mounting tape. The balloons are from BB Birthday Bears, were also colored with Copic markers and popped up on foam, as well.
And that’s it! We’d love to see you playing along at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by today—see you soon!
