Hello there!! It’s time, it’s time!! MFT’s April Release is now available for purchase in the MFT Online Boutique! Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details and to see how you can have a chance to win free stuff!
I have a couple of cards for you using, but first I want to tell you that I’m tickled pink to have a the class in this month’s Release Classes. You can find it and more from talented MFT Designers HERE on the MFT site.
OK, I am having SO much fun with the new Spring Scene Builder Die-namics!! I love creating scenes and this thing makes it SO easy! For my first card did a watercolor wash background on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors, adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base, and built my scene on it.
I stamped the sentiment from BB Up In the Air and added a small balloon from the same set then added my scene elements. The Kraft card stock element is supposed to be for a stream but I used it for a “road” for this card. My fence was cut from White Birch Wood Adhesive-Backed Sheet, and the tree trunks from Cherry Wood Adhesive-Backed Sheet. All other card stock colors are listed below.
*****
I kept my second card very simple to help convey the feeling of the sentiment.
I used a Blue Breeze card stock base and built upon it, using Dots & Stripes Bright Paper Pack to add some interest to the “field” and layered it with card stock for strength. I cut Stitched Rectangle Word Windows Die-namics, added the sentiment with foam mounting tape, and popped the “field” up as well. These word windows are a great way to add a sentiment to a card without adding more bulk—I popped mine up but you don’t have to.
This time I added the stream, using Ranger Watercolor Paper and Peerless Watercolors. Again, I used the wood sheets for the fence and tree trunks and other card stock colors are listed below.
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Spring Scene Builder Die-namics (I’m thinking it’s going to be just as much fun to use in the Fall, too ;-)) and Stitched Rectangle Word Windows Die-namics in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, April 6th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, April 7th. Good luck!!
