Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Purple Rain, Spearmint, Periwinkle, and Sour Apple. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
OK, I confess I cringed when I looked at this color combo the first time. Two purples and two greens??? But can I say I LOVE it now? I love it when a challenge actually *challenges* me and this one did. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite cards EVAH! To begin, I did a pale watercolor wash background on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors, stamped the sentiment from Anything-but-Basic Birthday Wishes Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink when it was dry, and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape
Then I cut a bunch of Fab Foliage Die-namics from Spearmint and Sour Apple card stocks and some Mini Rolled Roses Die-namics from Purple Rain and Periwinkle card stock and commenced to arranging them on the card front. When I was happy with how they were arranged, I adhered them with hot glue (my preferred method) and finished off with some Sprinkles in matching colors. Love it!!!
And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
