Joy to the World - Color Throwdown Challenge #660

 

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Wanda is our hostess this week and she has a gorgeous color combo for us based on her equally gorgeous inspiration piece!

I had not had a chance to use the recently released Stitched Tall Triangles STAX Die-namics nor the super fun Keep Me in Stitches Patterned Paper so I got them both out for this card. It went together pretty quickly and once one was done, I think it would be a great design for mass production. 

To begin, I cut the triangles--or in this case, trees--from three colors of patterned paper then I spattered them an some Blue Beyond card stock with diluted white craft paint and set them aside. While they were drying I cut Sweet Tooth card stock with Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and Joy, Peace, & Love Die-namics from Gold Sparkle card stock. 

The blue background was adhered on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape, then I added the back snow drifts, directly to the background and the "trees" were popped up on foam. Before I adhered the front drift with foam, I heat embossed a partial sentiment from Bitty Holiday Wishes Stamp Set with gold detail embossing powder then popped it, the Joy die cut letters, and the star on top up on foam for the finish!
