Hey, there! It’s Wednesday noon so it must be time for this week’s MFTWSC! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
This was such a fun sketch to work with! I started with a Steel Gray card stock base, then added a Grout Gray card stock panel on which I stenciled some modeling paste using MPD Fishnet Stencil, and popped it up on foam. Then I added a piece of “patterned paper” from my stash: Sno Cone card stock stenciled with Waves Stencil and Berrylicious ink. Next I cut out a porthole using Let’s Get Nautical Die-namics and silver glitter paper and popped that up on foam. The sentiment is from Go Overboard and was stamped with Steel Gray ink on Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics, and also popped up on foam. A Steel Gray button was tied with hemp cord and adhered to the sentiment flag. Finally, I cut an anchor from Tangy Orange card stock using Let’s Get Nautical Die-namics, sponged the edges with distress ink and tied on some cotton yarn. After I popped it on on foam it was done :)
Another sentiment from DC Go Overboard was stamped on the inside on Grout Gray card stock with Steel Gray ink.
And that’s it! My card is also for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge to glitter it! Thanks so much for stopping by—hope to see you playing along this week!
