It’s time for another Catered Crop Challenge and this time Linda has an inspiration piece for us. For this challenge you can celebrate the sport of football and/or take direct inspiration from this picture. As always, Linda has a Pinterest board to help you here: End Zone. It’s all about the black and white stripes, but don’t let that limit you. Interpret the challenge anyway you like.
The inspiration piece is all about football, but since I couldn’t care less about football (don’t hate, LOL!) I went with the black and white focus with some red for accent.
My card started with a Black Licorice card stock base, then I went to town on a piece of Grout Gray card stock. I stamped it lightly with Typewriter Text Background, Fine Chevron Background, Striped Backgrounds, and You’ve Got Mail stamp set. I sponged the edges with Steel Gray ink and popped it up on foam on the base. Next, I added a Black Licorice card stock tree, cut with Spooky Scene Die-namics and added a couple of red birds cut with Centerpieces Framed Lovebirds Die-namics from Wild Cherry card stock. The first part of the sentiment was stamped on a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with Black Licorice ink and part of a sentiment from PI Holiday Hugs Snowman and finished with a die cut “joy” using Peace, Love, Joy Die-namics, which was popped up on foam.
A sentiment from PI Christmas Banner was stamped on the inside.
And that’s it! Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you playing with us in the Catered Crop Recipe Swap! See you soon!
