Hey, there, everyone! Today I have a card for the latest MFT Color Challenge. It’s not too late to play, so let’s get your craft on, OK! There’s a prize to be won, so what are you waiting for?
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, stamped with Black Licorice dye ink and Damask Background using my MISTI. Next, I added a frame cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, popped up on foam mounting tape. Next I stamped a sentiment from Chalkboard Greetings Too on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I know the chalkboard technique is not as popular as it once was but I still LOVE it—it makes such a statement, don’t you think? Anyway, I then framed it with Rectangle Frames Die-namics, cut from Ranger silver foil card stock (you can’t tell that’s what it is from the photo, though) and popped up on foam. I nestled that inside the white frame—love how the MFT dies all play so well with each other—and added my flowers. They were made using Modern Blooms and Modern Blooms Die-namics, with Wild Wisteria dye ink, Persimmon dye ink, Sour Apple dye ink, and Black Licorice dye ink and adhered—some directly adhered and some popped up on foam.
On the inside I stamped a sentiment from DC Life’s Direction.
And there you have it! This would make a great card for graduation or for someone just starting in a new career, don’t you think? Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

It may not be as popular, but I absolutely love it. My sister and I still adore all the chalkboard stuff people use to make, and this card is just beautiful. I'm new to all of this, so I missed out on all the chalkboard cards. Thanks so much for sharing this one. That die border is just perfect too. Such a great card.
