With Sympathy–CTD #404

It’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Amy Rohl is our hostess this week and she has chosen a classic color combo.



This color combo really worked out great for me because I was in need of a sympathy card. I tend to not have any of them on hand, how about you? I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, applied a watercolor wash to Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush, and adhered it to the card base. Next I cut Essential Cover-Up Vertical Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, stamped the sentiment from Essential Sentiments with Black Licorice dye ink, and popped it up on foam mounting tape.



Then I cut Bold Greenery Die-namics from watercolor paper, watercolored it with Peerless Watercolors, and adhered it to the card front after tying some baker’s twine around the stems.

Hello–Color Throwdown #403

Hello and welcome to this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! Broni has chosen a lovely pastel color palette for us to work with.



This was a pretty fast card to put together and I really love how it turned out. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then applied a watercolor wash on Ranger Watercolor Paper using Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush, then popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape.



Then I added some Bold Greenery Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and Thanks & Hello Die-namics cut from In the Buff card stock. To finish off I added some Rainstones.

Mahalo–CTD #402

Hi, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! I’m hosting this week and I hope to see lots of you playing along!



I went all tropical for these colors. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I cut more Sweet Tooth card stock with Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics for a frame. I watercolored a background on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush and popped up the frame on it with foam mounting tape.



Next I stamped images from BB Polynesian Paradise and BB Penguins in Paradise on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, watercolored them, and arranged them into a scene with foam tape. I added Puffy Clouds Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, stamped the sentiment with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped it up on foam.

Hey, everyone, it’s time for another Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Amy Rysavy is our hostess and she has chosen a cool color palette based on her gorgeous inspiration piece.




I was inspired by a canvas I recently saw using these same colors for my design. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then applied a watercolor wash with the challenge colors on Ranger Watercolor Paper using Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush and popped it up on the base with foam mounting tape.



Then I stamped and cut Build-able Bouquet and Build-able Bouquet Die-namics using Black Licorice hybrid ink, watercolored the images, and arranged them on the card front with foam tape. I cut three copies of Thanks & Hello Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, adhered them together for dimension, popped it up on the design, and was done!
