Stay Tuned! We Have More in Store--Four Days Until MFT's May Release!

Hello and welcome to Day Four of MFT's May Release Countdown! Release is in four days, May 4th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing SY Travel Plans Stamp Set, SY Travel Plans Die-namics, We Beelong Stamp Set, We Beelong Die-namics, and Hexagon Pops Die-namics.

Way back when, pre-COVID, my DH and I loved to travel--a lot. Hoping to get back to it sooner rather than later, but this darling scene will have to suffice for now ;-)

To begin, the sky was created on Sweet Tooth card stock using Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Lazy Day dye ink, then adhered directly to a Sweet Tooth card stock base and stamped the sentiment.

Next, I stamped up a bunch of the building images, using Extreme Black hybrid ink on Gravel Gray card stock and adhered them to the card front. Then I added a strip of Cement Gray card stock, popped up on foam tape, to simulate a sidewalk in front of city buildings.

Then I stamped the other images with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut them with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers. To finish, the images were popped up in the scene with foam tape

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Three of MFT's May Release Countdown!

You're Fin-tastic - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #539

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s
MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

To begin, I did a watercolor wash on Ranger Watercolor paper with Peerless Watercolors then spattered with clean water for the background.

For the horizontal elements, I tied around some cotton yarn in small sailor's knots, stamped the sentiment from Sharky Sentiments Stamp Set and then adhered the card front to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape.

Baby Shark Die-namics was cut from Sweet Tooth, Fire Coral, Cement Gray, Gravel Gray, and Black Licorice card stocks and assembled after sponging the edges with Gravel Gray dye ink then popped up on foam tape on the card front.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Missing You - Color Throwdown Challenge #640

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Wanda is our hostess this week and she has chosen some sweet Spring colors for us to play with.

I love MFT's Wild Poppies Stamp Set and Die-namics and decided to use them for this card. To begin, I stamped the image on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored it with Copic markers.

Next I cut Petite Gingham Patterned Paper with A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics and popped it up on a Black Licorice card stock base with foam tape.

The colored image was then popped up on foam tape and the sentiment stamped, cut out, and colored, then also adhered with foam tape.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD640 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd640 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Hello Beautiful - MFT April Outside the Box Challenge

This time of year, flowers are bursting out all over in a riot of color and fragrance. Bringing that joyous sensibility to your cards is an exciting way of integrating the season into your crafting, and a box card is the perfect vessel for showcasing the dimension of your fields of wildflowers or carefully arranged bouquets. This month, the design team is putting on their metaphorical gardening gloves to share their ideas for floral box cards — won’t you join us?

Nothing fits this challenge better than the recently released Box Card Bouquet Die-namics so this was a perfect opportunity to use these gorgeous flowers!

To begin, I created my box using Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics, Sweet Tooth card stock, and Stripe Splash patterned paper. The back ground was created using Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Lazy Day dye ink, The shelves were cut from Sour Apple card stock.

Next I cut my flowers and foliage from Limelight, Sour Apple, Jalapeño Popper, Lemon Drop, Butterscotch, Candied Yam, Moroccan Spice, Poppin' Pink, Amarena Cherry, and Grape Jelly card stocks and adhered them to the shelves.

To complete the design, I cut Box Card Greetings from Gold Shine card stock and adhered it to the front. And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Happy Birthday - MFT Color Challenge #164

Hi all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here's this week's color combo: Poppin' Pink, Caribbean Sea, Jalapeño Popper, and Vintage Timber. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I went pretty CAS with this card design using only the tulip image from BB Sittin' Pretty Stamp Set and Die-namics as the focal image. To begin, I stamped the image on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics and colored it with Copic markers.

Next, I cut a panel of Distress Woodgrain card stock and cut it with LJD Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics. I sponged it with Vintage Timber Dye Ink then applied a sanding block for more distress. To add a little more interest to the focal image, I sponged some Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Caribbean Sea Dye Ink and hand sketched some lines around where the image would be. The card front panel was popped up on the Sweet Tooth card base with the image panel adhered directly. The image was then also popped up on foam.

To finish off, a sentiment from Banner Day Sentiments was heat embossed on Vintage Timber card stock cut with Elegant Folded Banner Die-namics and it was done!

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

I absolutely adore MFT's Winter Wreath and this new Spring Wreath is right up there with it!! So SWEET and perfect for this sketch. To begin, I stamped the image on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics and colored it with Copic markers.

Next I adhered a strip of Black & White Stripes paper pad on the left side, following the sketch, then popped the colored wreath up on foam tape. The sentiment, from the set, was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock with white detail embossing powder then cut into individual words and popped up on foam tape.

To finish off I added a few clear rain drops and it was done! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!
