Hello, Bootiful - MFT Color Challenge #126

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Lemon Chiffon, Orange Zest, Milk Chocolate, and Grout Gray. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I went all CAS for my card today. I started by sponging the background, using masking paper cut with Circle STAX Set 1 to first sponge the moon with Lemon Chiffon dye ink through the negative and then the orange sky after placing the moon die cut back in place, on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. Then I stamped Modern Trees Stamp Set with Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and the bats from BB Fab-BOO-lous Friends Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink, after which I adhered this panel to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

I used Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics to cut the landscape from Grout Gray card stock, stamped the sentiment and one bat, and popped the layers up on foam tape for the finish.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

I'm Over the Moon for You - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #456

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I used a bit of creative license on this card, using Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics to create my “moon” for the right side triangle. It was cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and stamped with Distressed Patterns Stamp set and stenciled with Basic Shapes – Circle Stencil, both using Grout Gray dye ink. To create my night sky, I sponged with Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, and Black Soot Distress Inks, then splattered with slightly watered-down Copic Opaque White and a small art brush.

The moon was popped up on foam after the sentiment was stamped and I added some Stitch-able Falling Stars Die-namics, cut from Silver Sparkle card stock for the close up stars. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, and fussy cut out before being adhered with foam tape.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

With Gratitude - MFT September Vault Release Day Two

Hey, peeps, I’m back with a little more inspiration for you once you get your September Vault goodies in your hands. Today I’m using PI Li’l Pumpkin Stamp Set and Die-namics. I adore Fall so I’m all about anything with a Fall theme!

I started by stamping the image on No Line Coloring Card Stock with Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics. Then I started coloring with Copic markers with no color scheme in mind, just went with whatever popped into my head.

Next I created my sky on Sweet Tooth card stock with Lush Lagoon dye ink and Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I sponged Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Distress Inks in Rusty Hinge and Fired Brick, and another with Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint with a little Rusty Hinge across the bottom. I cut the former with Snow Drifts Die-namics and the latter with Grassy Fields Die-namics and added them to the card base once the sentiment was stamped.

I added the colored image with foam tape and finished off with some puffy clouds to complete the scene. Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

You can enter for a chance to win a $50 MFT shopping spree by commenting on the two vault launch posts on the MFT Blog before 8 PM EDT on September 26. Please leave only one comment per person, per day. One winner will be randomly selected, and the winner will be announced at 8 AM EDT on September 27 on the MFT Blog.

Hello, Thanks a Bunch - Color Throwdown Challenge #562

Welcome to a brand new
Color Throwdown Challenge!! This week I am the hostess and I’m challenging everyone to use these colors pulled from my gorgeous inspiration piece. It could be a bit of a monochromatic color palette, I guess, with added neutrals. I hope to see you playing along with us this week!

To begin, I stamped Poppy Background on No line Coloring card stock because I wasn’t sure if I was going to color any of those poppies or not. I ended up only coloring the images from Poppy Blooms stamp set and fussy cut them out. I adhered the background panel on a Sweet Tooth card stock base then popped up the colored images on foam tape. Next I added a sentiment from Bitty Thanks & Gratitude Stamp Set, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics.

I added Little Hello Die-namics, cut from Cement Gray card stock and Translucent Vellum along with some matte dots to finish off.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the
Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD562 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd562 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
