Thank You - Color Throwdown Challenge #693

Hello, it's time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Broni is our hostess and she's chosen a cool palette for us to work with. Hope to see you playing along!

I decided to let a die cut do the talkin' on this card in the form of Thank You Die-namics. I cut Gold Sparkle card stock once and scrap white card stock twice, stacked them with spray adhesive and set it aside.

Next, I did a watercolor wash on Ranger Watercolor paper using Peerless Watercolors and a water brush. I then spattered with clean water and gold acrylic ink, and once dry, adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape.

The die cut sentiment was adhered directly to the card front and I finished off with some enamel dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD693 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd693 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! These are more of my all-time favorite products! Ring Me Stamp Set and Die-namics bring retro to your craft desk in such a cute way! For today's card, I cut the body of phone from Cotton Candy card stock and assembled it using white floral wire colored black with a Copic marker. I wound it around an orangewood stick to get the spiral and taped the ends to the two parts.

The card base was created by adhering MSTN Pretty In Plaid Patterned Paper to a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added the card front, more Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Number Jumble Background in a distressed manner and popped up on foam tape.

The phone was then also adhered with foam tape and the sentiment from the set stamped on Ripe Raspberry card stock cut with MSTN Say Anything Die-namics. and finished off with some matching enamel dots.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

Hello, Beautiful - Color Throwdown Challenge #692

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown! I'm hosting this week and I hope to see LOTS of you playing along! I love this cheerful cake design and chose it for my inspiration piece this week.

To begin, I applied a watercolor wash on Ranger Watercolor paper, heat embossed the sentiment from Winged Wonders stamp set with gold embossing powder and spattered it with some gold acrylic ink. Once dry, I adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

Next, I heat embossed three of the butterflies from the set with gold detail embossing powder on Translucent Vellum, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and applied a watercolor wash matching the background.

Once they were dry, I popped them up on the card front with foam tape and finished up with a few matching glitter enamel dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. Hello, it's time! MFT's March Release is available now for purchase so be sure to head on over to the MFT Online Boutique and shop! And don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and more inspiration!

I'm using PI Sunny Smiles Stamp Set and Die-namics and MSTN Black & White Plaid Paper Pack from the new release for my card today. I'm serious, guys, this new paper is da bomb, so to begin, I cover a Sweet Tooth card stock base with it.

Next I stamped the image on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored it with Copic markers. I wanted a background that complimented the theme, so I sponged Lemon Drop dye ink on Sweet Tooth card stock through Radiating Rays Stencil then added a circle of Lemon Drop card stock cut with A2 Circle STAX Die-namics. The card front was then adhered to the card base with foam tape.

The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics and popped up on the card front with foam tape.

Final Countdown! One Day Until MFT's May Release!

Hello and welcome to Day Once of MFT's May Release Countdown! Release is in one day, May 10th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing My Smile is Bigger Because of You Stamp Set, My Smile is Bigger Because of You Die-namics, You Make Me Hoppy Stamp Set, You Make Me Hoppy Die-namics, Sunny Smiles Stamp Set, Sunny Smiles Die-namics, We're the Picture of Best Friends Stamp Set, and We're the Picture of Best Friends Die-namics.

I don't know about you, but these little froggies and their scene just makes ME hoppy...er, happy!! I love frog images and am so glad to have some of these cuties back in the line up. To begin, I created my background on Sweet Tooth card stock, using Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Lazy Day dye ink, Drifts & Hills Stencil and Sour Apple and Jalapeño Popper dye ink, and Perfect Pool Water Stencil and Summer Splash dye ink. I wanted the look of a pond, not waves, so this stencil was perfect. We just took out a couple of small ponds in our yard the last couple of years and I miss the frogs--they were LOUD on summer evenings!

Once the background was done, I stamped the sentiment and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I stamped the images on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

Once that was all done, I adhered the colored images on my card front and was done!

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for the December MFT and Friends Feature!
