Sending Cheer - Color Throwdown Challenge #716

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge. This week Lisa is our hostess and she has some gorgeous Autumnal shades for us to play with this week. Hope to see lots of you joining us!

I don't have any card stock in these exact colors so I went with a sponged background in order to incorporate them. First, I sponged Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Wilted Violet, Victorian Velvet, and Forest Moss Distress Inks and allowed it to dry. Once dry, I heat embossed the tree from Mod and Merry Stamp Set with white detail embossing powder.

Once that cooled, I spattered it with gold acrylic ink and set it aside to dry. Meanwhile, I created a Smooth White card stock base and a mat of Gold Shine card stock. I also cut a small star using Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics.

When the ink was dry I heat embossed the sentiment from the set using gold detail embossing powder, adhered the gold mat, and adhered the card front to the base with foam tape. To finish, the gold star was popped up on a bit of foam tape.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD716 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd716 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

Hello, it's time! MFT's October Release is available now for purchase so be sure to head on over to the MFT Online Boutique and shop! And don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and more inspiration!

I created an infinity shaker for today's card using Snow Buddy Die-namics and MSTN Cool Christmas Greetings Stamp Set. To begin, I spattered white craft paint on Cement Gray card stock and once that dried, stamped the sentiment using Extreme Black hybrid ink.

Snow Buddy Die-namics was created using Smooth White, Wild Cherry, Orange Zest, Black Licorice, and Kraft card stocks. Snow Buddy was then adhered to the bottom of the Cement Gray card stock panel and slid inside the stamp pouch.

I used several different filler materials, all with a low profile, and sealed it up for the finish!

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
