Countdown Kickoff - Five Days Until MFT's October Release!

Hello and welcome to Day Two of MFT's October Release Countdown! Release is in five days, October 5th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing Selfies with Santa Stamp Set, It's Penguining to Look a Lot Like Christmas Stamp Set, It's Penguining to Look a Lot Like Christmas Die-namics, Merry Christmas Stamp Set, Merry Christmas Die-namics, Everyday Gift Box Die-namics, and Cool Collab Patterned Paper Pad.

Everyday Gift Box Die-namics is a game changer!! This little beauty goes together like a dream and will hold a gift card or any number of small gifts. What a great way to make even a gift card special!

I cut the bottom and tag from Sweet Tooth card stock and the rest from Cool Collab Patterned Paper and assembled the box, which is super easy to do! Next Merry Christmas Die-namics was cut from Sweet Tooth and Caribbean Sea card stocks, adhered together, and popped up on foam.

I wrapped around some red hemp twine and used it to tie on the tag, on which I added the sweet little holly sprig from Jolly Molly Stamp Set and Die-namics which you'll see more of later in the Countdown. I colored it with Copic markers and popped it up on the sweet little tag to finish off.

And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Four of MFT's October Release Countdown!

All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

The circle element of this sketch provides a canvas for a sweet little scene, this one using Holly Jolly Cardinals Die-namics. The wonky element was done using a piece of Christmas Cheer Patterned Paper and the circle cut with A2 Circle STAX and sponged with Lazy Day dye ink on Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and popped up on foam, all on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

The cardinal and holly branch were cut from various card stocks (see below), assembled, and also popped up on foam.

The sentiment, from Bitty Holiday Wishes was stamped at the bottom of the card base and I finished off with some glitter enamel dots.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Autumn Blessings - Color Throwdown Challenge #662

Hello and welcome to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge! I'm hostess this week so I hope to see LOTS of you playing along! this week's colors are definitely based on my lovely inspiration piece.

I created a little scene within a window created by Watercolor Wash Free Form Die-namics. I used Birch Tree Die-namics and images and sentiment from Autumn Blessing Stamp Set.

I used a strip of Keep Me in Stitches Patterned Paper across the bottom, and arranged fussy cut pumpkins and leaves after coloring with Copic markers. Birch Trees Die-namics were cut from Kraft card stock for a background and the sentiment was heat embossed and also fussy cut out and popped up on faom.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. Sending Holiday Cheer - MFT Color Challenge #174

Hi all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here's this week's color combo: Black Licorice, Sno Cone, Fire Coral, and Jalapeño Popper. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

My inspiration for this card was a painting that I loved of a front door decorated for Christmas. Very CAS but exuding Christmas spirit. I hope I've come somewhat close to the original ;-)

To begin, I sponged my background on Sweet Tooth card stock using Fire Coral dye ink and English Brick wall stencil. Once dry, it was adhered directly to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I stamped the door from BB Sittin' Pretty Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics and colored it with Copic markers.

I added Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock--the back one directly to the card front, then popped up the door, along with the front snow drift after stamping the sentiment from Bitty Holiday Wishes with Black Licorice dye ink. The door decoration is from Christmas Cardinals Stamp Set, was stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and adhered to the door with foam, along with a baker's twine bow.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Eek! Spooky Times Ahead - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #560

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s
MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I decided on a super sweet Halloween card for today's sketch using Halloween Hoo Stamp Set and Die-namics.

To begin, I sponged the night sky using Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, & Black Soot Distress Inks and after they dried, spattered white craft paint for the starry sky. Next I cut the rectangle element out with A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, adhered the main part directly to a Blue Beyond card stock base and popped the die cut up on foam tape.

Next the images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers and popped up on the card front following the sketch. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics and also popped up on foam.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Winter Wishes - Color Throwdown Challenge #661

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week our hostess is Amy Rysavy and she has chosen a neutral color palette for us to work with.

These colors reminded me of a snowy January day so I went with it. To begin, on Cement Gray card stock, I traced Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and then stamped Wonderful Woods over and over using Kraft, Cement Gray, and Gravel Gray dye inks. Once that was done I spattered it with diluted white craft ink to resemble snow falling.

When *that* was dry I popped it up on a Chantilly Cream card stock base, then cut Sweet Tooth card stock with Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and adhered the back layer directly. The front layer was stamped with a sentiment from Bitty Holiday Wishes Stamp Set, tied around with natural hemp cord, and popped up on foam for the finish.

It's Time!! MFT's Holiday Snow Globe Card Kit Release!

It's time!! It's time!!! MFT's September Card Kit, Holiday Snow Globe, is now available for purchase in the
MFT Online Boutique!! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and for more inspiration from the MFT Design Team.

I love the size of this snow globe and the darling little stamp set. It's going to be so versatile! I chose to highlight it on a Traditional Stitched Tag Die-namics, but there are so many ways it can be used! To begin, I stamped the images on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

Next I cut paper from Holly Jolly Paper Pad with Stitched Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics and from Sweet Tooth card stock and layered them for strength. Then I cut the snow globe circle, adhered the shaker pouch, punched a hole at the top, and added a Black Licorice card stock grommet cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics. Some gingham ribbon and baker's twine dressed that up a bit.

I used City Block Background for the back of my snow globe and built my scene on it. I added some diamond dust to the shaker pouch, adhered the scene to the back and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base on which I'd adhered more paper from Holly Jolly Paper Pack.

To complete my design I heat embossed the sentiment from the set on Black Licorice card stock cut with Elegant Folded Banner Die-namics and popped it up on foam tape on the tag element. To finish off I added a few accents cut with Fab Foliage Die-namics from Sour Apple card stock.

And there you have it for Holiday Snow Globe, MFT's September Card Kit! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!!
