I decided to play with Gina K’s Wreath Builder set again for this card. To begin, created a 4 1/4” x 4 1/4” card base and coordinating layers. For the card front, and using Smooth White card stock and stamped Flower Silhouettes Stamp Set using the challenge colors, minus Natural. It was brought in as the card base and sentiment strip.

The sentiment is from Happy Hummingbirds Stamp Set and I used foam tape for dimension. I hope you can see the Nuvo drops I used on the Sno Cone flowers in the second photo.

Friendship Is Like a Rainbow Between Two Hearts–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #491

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I started this card by creating my background using Blue Breeze dye ink and Mini Cloud Edges Stencil on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I added Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, popped up on foam tape for dimension with a sentiment from Rainbow Greetings stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink.

I hadn’t had a chance to use the new Rainbow Whimsy Die-namics so I cut and created it (see colors below), added Cute Cloud Outlines Die-namics and hearts, cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics and Electric Red card stock.
I finished off with a couple more Cute Cloud Outlines Die-namics for the finish.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Best Wishes–Color Throwdown Challenge #595

Hey, there, and welcome to a brand new
Color Throwdown Challenge! My girl Jodi is our hostess this week and I love her color choices!! Hope to see you all playing along with us this week!

I was SO excited to see Lily Die-namics return with the recent MFT Vault Release!!! It was always a favorite of mine and I missed it! I decided to use it today even though the colors are non-traditional. Or are they??? When researching lilies to get my coloring authentic, I ran across this Blue Heart Lily. How cool is that???

So, to begin, I cut the lilies from No Line Coloring card stock and the leaves from Black Licorice card stock. I colored the lilies with Copic markers, adding details with Staedtler fine line pens and adhered them together, curving the petals for some dimension. I added some white craft paint to some of the leaves for contrast, then I sponged the background: Broken China Distress Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper, splattered with white craft ink and black acrylic ink and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape after stamping the sentiment from Happy Hummingbirds with Extreme Black Hybrid ink.

Next I cut Black & White Stripes paper pack with A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics and popped it up on foam on the card front. To finish, I arranged the lilies and leaves and adhered them with hot glue.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD595 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd595 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

Happy Birthday, Dad–MFT May Birthday Project Challenge

Using alphabet stamps and dies allows you to create custom cards that leave no doubt that it was created with the recipient specifically in mind. The variety of sizes and styles available allows you to choose just the right look, every time. Let's see what our designers have created in response to this month's personalization challenge!

Father’s Day will be here soon so this is the perfect opportunity to get that card done and ready to go! My father’s been gone for many years but rarely does a day go by that I don’t think of him. He was a wonderful man who was good at everything he attempted. He loved to garden and work with wood so this card would have been perfect for him.

I’m using a couple of the just released
MFT Vault product, Tool Time and Pegboard Cover-Up Die-namics, along with Impact Alphabet Die-namics and Bitty Birthday Wishes to complete this project. Paper choices are listed below—it’s just a matter of die-cutting and assembly for the most part.

I hope you’ll get some inspiration for a card for a man in your life from me today—don’t put it off, it will be here before you know it!

Now, it's your turn. You have until Wednesday, June 17th, at noon EDT to add your link and be eligible for the prize of $50 in MFT Cash to be spent in the MFT boutique. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

And that’s it from me today—thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The image, from the same stamp set, was stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on the panel with foam tape for the finish.
