I’m Over the Moon for You–MFT Color Challenge #141

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Grout Gray, Lemon Chiffon, Lush Lagoon, and Steel Gray. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. I immediately saw a galaxy-type sky when I saw these colors and couldn’t get it out of my mind so I stopped fighting it ;-) To begin, I created the moon element by sponging Lemon Chiffon dye ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper for the moon “glow”, then moved to more outer space with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink along with Black Soot. Once that dried I splattered with slightly watered-down white craft ink and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. To create the moon itself, I cut Lemon Chiffon card stock with Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics, sponged it with Lemon Chiffon dye ink, and stamped Distressed Patterns Stamp Set with Grout Gray dye ink, adhering it with foam tape.

The images from BB Space Explorer Stamp Set were stamped on No Line Color card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on the card front with foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips and also popped up with foam. I finished off with some stars, cut from Gold Sparkle card stock with Tag Builder Blueprints 6.
