Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
When I first looked at this sketch the first thing that came to mine was a sun over water. But water is level so I had to come up with something else, LOL! So, the next thought was a hillside with the sun so I proceeded to develop that idea. First I sponged Scattered Straw and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock using Circle Extraordinaire Stencil. I love having both parts of it so I could do the orange sky and yellow sun perfectly! Once that was done I added Grassy Hills Die-namics cut from Jellybean Green card stock.
Then I decided what images to use and settled on BB Squirrel! mainly because the tree branch was perfect for the skinny slanted element.
The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Milk Chocolate hybrid ink, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped with the same ink, the images adhered with foam tape, and it was done!
And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
