A Little Birthday Wish for a Great Friend - MFT Color Challenge #124

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest
MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Lush Lagoon, Smooth White, Limelight, After Midnight. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I was out of Smooth White card stock so I substituted Sweet Tooth card stock. I started by cutting lots of Stitched Flowers and Stitched Blooms Die-namics from the challenge color card stock and then constructed flowers a bunch of flowers. Then I stamped the sentiment from LJD Birthday Greetings Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink on a Sweet Tooth card stock panel and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card base with foam tape.

Then I cut A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics from Gold Sparkle card stock and popped it up on foam and finished off by adding all my flowers and leaves with hot glue.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Love You Lots - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #451

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Confession: I couldn’t decide what to do with those rectangles. They had me stumped, so I tried flipping the sketch and that’s when this idea popped into my head. I started with a Grout Gray card stock base, then stamped Romantic Script Background on Sweet Tooth card stock with Grout Gray dye ink and part of a sentiment from From the Heart Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink and popped the card front up on the base with foam tape.

Next I cut the letters from Sweet Stamp Paper Pack with Impact Alphabet Die-namics, adhered them with foam tape and added Razzle Berry card stock hearts, cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 6 between the letters.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Thank You for Your Help - Color Throwdown Challenge #557

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Lori is our hostess and she’s got some fun colors for us based on her funky inspiration piece.

I used softer shades of the colors to sponge some Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper for my card front. Once that was done, I cut Thank You Die-namics, stamped the partial sentiment from Greetings & Salutations Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink and adhered the negative panel to a Sweet Tooth card stock card base.

I then cut Thank You Die-namics five more times from Sweet Tooth card stock and stacked them with spray adhesive, then reinserted it using the camouflage technique. To finish off I added some enamel dots in the challenge colors.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the
Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD5575 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd557 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our amazing August Guest Designer, LucieG!
