Hello, Sunshine - Starburst, MFT August Card Kit Release

It's time! MFT's August Card Kit, Starburst, is now available for purchase in the MFT Online Boutique! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and more inspiration for YOUR Starburst Card Kit!

For this card I had the “bright” idea that if this die could be used for a STARburst, why not a SUNburst. Amiright? When I sponge clouds like this and want to add sunrays with yellow ink, it often ends up looking greenish so it occurred to me that with this die you get the ray effect with no issue with mixing colors. Win-Win!!! I love it!! I began this card by sponging Mini Cloud Edges Stencil with Blue Breeze dye ink and cut the SUNburst with Starburst Die-namics. Then I sponged some Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Lemon Chiffon, Pineapple, and Orange Zest dye inks and cut Sunshine Die-namics and Circle STAX Set 2 from it.

I adhered the sun and layered up some Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics on foam tape after stamping a sentiment from Full of Sunshine Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink. I cut Sunshine Die-namics twice more from Sweet Tooth card stock, layered them all with spray adhesive and adhered it to the card front and finished off with some enamel dots.

And that’s it for my out-of-the-box card using Starburst—
MFT’s August Card Kit! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!
