I decided to create a “cool” scene using BB Polar Bear Pals Stamp Set and BB Polar Bear Pals Die-namics, along with BB Icebergs Die-namics and Stitched Snow Drifts. I used Lemon Chiffon and Orange Fizz dye inks to sponge my sky and assembled the die cuts to create the background.

MFTCPC84_2017dec28b

The bear was stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink and his scarf was colored in the challenge colors with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped on the lower snow drift element and  foam tape was used for dimension.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Sorry I Was Crabby–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #365

MFTWSC365_2017dec27

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFT_WSC_365

As you can see, I used a little creative license with this sketch ;-) I started by creating my background by heat embossing Whimsical Waves Background and applying a watercolor wash, then popped it up on foam on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

Next I stamped and cut the crabs, from Ocean Pals Stamp Set and Ocean Pals Die-namics, colored them with Copics and popped them up on the background, also with foam.

MFTWSC365_2017dec27b

The sentiment was heat embossed on a strip of Black Licorice card stock, adhered with foam, as well.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Shine Like the Stars–MFT Creative Construction with Blueprints

CCwithBP_2017dec21

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this month’s Creative Construction with Blueprints Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this month’s challenge: Star Power. All of the details about the challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFT_CreativeConstruction_SideBar

This was such a fun and easy challenge! I love using stars from Blueprints! First I created a watercolor background with Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor Paper, splattered some watered down white craft paint for stars, and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. Then I cut Shining Stars Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock, layered it with white card stock for strength and set it aside.

CCwithBP_2017dec21b

The sentiment from Written in the Stars was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock and adhered to the card front. Next the stars die cut was adhered and I finished off with stars from Blueprints 13 Die-namics and Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Sending Prayers–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #364

MFTWSC364_2017dec20

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFT_WSC_364

I wanted to used that focal image as a window so I created a serene scene outside by sponging and stamping Modern Trees. I used Translucent Vellum for the curtains to look like sheers. Since the top background was pretty plain, I dry embossed Radiating Rays Stencil for some interest and texture.

MFTWSC364_2017dec20b

I adhered some Black & White Basics patterned paper across the bottom, and a strip of Black Licorice card stock across the center with the sentiment, from Deepest Sympathy, heat embossed beside the window.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

SensationalStitchedFlowers_KitPeek

Don’t you just love it when you see doggies and kitties as best friends??? The image I used today shows just that :) It was stamped with the new and AWESOME Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic markers before being popped up on the card front with foam tape.

cardkitrelease_2017dec19b

The background was done by sponging the bottom then stamping the sentiment, then creating “wallpaper” by using Triple Stripe Background. To accent the red bed, I added Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots patterned paper on the card base, then tied some sweet gingham ribbon (does everyone still have a stash of ribbon like I do?) around the card front and popped it up on the base with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Friends Furever Card Kit. See you soon!

MFT December Card Kit–Furever Friends, Countdown Day Two

cardkitday2_2017dec19

Hi, all! So, what do you think of this month’s kit? Adorable, amiright? The Design Team had some samples for you yesterday and there’s more to come today so be sure to check out the MFT Blog for all the details. Release is tonight at 9pm Eastern, so make a note!

SensationalStitchedFlowers_KitPeek

I’m all about indoor only for kitties so I created a comfy rescued cat scene for today’s card :) If you have a cat, you know that besides food, a soft bed and being able to look out of a window are HIGH on their priority lists! Now, a soft bed could simply be a cardboard box with a towel but my kitty here has a plush cat bed and a carpet covered perch for her bird and squirrel sightings (she’s in her bed now since there doesn’t appear to be any wildlife to see at present ;-))

cardkitday2_2017dec19b

I sponged the background, added Classic Window Die-namics along with pretty curtains and stamped the sentiment across the bottom. The bed and perch are in the mid month Free With $60 Pet Perches Die-namics and the kitty and sentiment are from Furever Friends Stamp Set and Die-namics and were stamped with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and the kitty was colored with Copic markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you back tonight for Release!

MFT December Card Kit–Furever Friends, Countdown Day One!

cardkitday1_2017dec18

Hey everyone! It’s time for MFT’s December Card Kit! Furever Friends Card Kit is SO adorable!!! It will be available for purchase tomorrow night, December 19th, at 9pm Eastern in the MFT Online Boutique. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and more samples from the MFT Design Team.

SensationalStitchedFlowers_KitPeek
Included in this kit is Furever Friends Stamp Set and Die-namics, along with the new Extreme Black Hybrid ink cube, and an assortment of card stocks. The mid-month Free with $60 die is Pet Perches Die-namics.

For today’s card, I played off one of the sentiments: “A Friend Like You Comes Along Once in Nine Lives” to drive the design. On a Sweet Tooth card stock base, I stamped a kitty image nine times with the new and AWESOME Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, then stamped and die cut another one, colored it with Copics, and popped it up in the center to make that special kitty stand out.

cardkitday1_2017dec18b

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed, then also popped up on foam tape. I added some matching enamels dots as an accent.

And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two!

Celebrate the New Year–MFT Color Challenge #83

MFTCPC83_2017dec14

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Tropical Teal, Latte, Pure Plum, and Safety Orange. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

This was a fun card to make! I decided to use the challenge colors for balloons and thought a New Year’s card would be a good way to use the balloons :) First I stamped the background using Snowfall Background and Delicata Gold Pigment Ink for confetti. I cut the balloons from the challenge colors and added Little Numbers Die-namics, cut from Black Licorice card stock for the year and the strings.

MFTCPC83_2017dec14b

Before I adhered the balloon elements, I partially dry embossed Radiating Rays Stencil and added Celebrate Die-namics cut from Brushed Gold card stock. I popped the balloons up on foam tape and heat embossed the sentiment, from Hand Lettered Holiday Stamp Set.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Let It Snow!–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #363

MFTWSC363_2017dec13

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFT_WSC_363

I needed ONE more Christmas card so I got out Scenic Snow Globe Die-namics to build a little scene. Before I did that, I stenciled Art Extravagance Snowflake Paste through Snowfall Stencil for a background. It’s hard to see but this is a texture paste with tiny sparkles built in—it’s gorgeous!!

MFTWSC363_2017dec13b

I also added it toe the snow drifts and trees, then built my scene—see below for card stock colors used. The sentiment is from Snow Globe Sentiments and was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips. Foam tape was used for dimension between layers and to pop up elements.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $20 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
