Hello there!! It’s time, it’s time!! MFT’s December Release is now available for purchase in the MFT Online Boutique! Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details and to see how you can have a chance to win free stuff!
Before I continue, I have to tell you that I am dee-lited to have a class in this month’s Release Classes. You can find it and more from talented MFT Designers HERE on the MFT site.
I have a couple of projects to show you tonight starting with this card using More Rustic Wildflowers Stamp Set and More Rustic Wildflowers Die-namics. I began by adhering a strip of Black & White Basics Paper Pack down the left side and then stamped up a bunch of flowers and leaves (colors listed below).
I arranged them on the edge of the striped paper, added a sentiment die cut from Sending Hugs Die-namics cut from Black Licorice card stock and it was done! Love how it turned out and it was super simple to make.
*****
Next up a card and gift tag using Meant to Bee Stamp Set, Meant to Bee Die-namics, and Honeycomb Background from the December Release.
I stamped the background in a distressed manner on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink then did a watercolor wash for my background. I popped it up on a Black Licorice card stock base after tying around some baker’s twine.
I created sentiment element by first adhering some Black & White Basics Paper Pack, then some Safety Orange card stock, and then the sentiment, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips. I stamped and colored some bees and scattered them around to finish off.
*****
The tag has an added treat of some lip balm. This set is a perfect way to present some Burt’s Bees lip balm, don’t you think?
The background was done the same way as the card. The lip balm window was cut, the Lip Balm Pouch were cut, the pouch inserted, closed up with the lip balm inside, and the frame cut from Black Licorice card stock. As was the sentiment strip, cut with Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips and shortened. I added a couple of bees for accent and finished off with some ribbon and twine.
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR new December goodies in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, December 7th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, December 8th. Good luck!!
