Join Us For Dinner–MFT September Teaser, Day Seven

I can’t believe this is the last day of MFT’s September teasers! Tonight is the night—release party is at 8pm at the SCS member forum and release is at 10pm! Get all the details at the MFT Blog.

Today we’re showing you Wendy Burns Design Stylish Friends, Large Scale Backgrounds, All Occasion Place Setting, Napkin Ring and Place Card Die-namics, Place Setting Die-namics, and Mona Pendleton Designs Checkerboard Stencil.

I have a little set for you using All Occasion Place Setting, Napkin Ring and Place Card Die-namics, and Place Setting Die-namics.

These three products are this month’s MFT Exclusives, only available from MFT.

My base card was made from Primitive Cream card stock with a Kraft card stock layer. I stamped the Kraft card stock with Kraft ink using another new set, Large Scale Backgrounds, which is the Free With $60 set for this month.

I cut it out with a die from Die-namics Blueprints 6 and popped it up on foam. I love the rounded corners of this and the larger size found in Die-namics Blueprints 5. Then I added a couple of sizes of Die-namics Fishtail Flags die cut using Tangy Orange card stock and Sour Apple card stock.

I created a plaid patterned paper using last month’s Plaid Builder Background and and Kraft ink, Tangy Orange ink, and Sour Apple ink. I cut it out with Die-namics Pierced Rectangle STAX, another new die for this month, to simulate a place mat. Love how it looks like it’s stitched! Then, using the new Die-namics Place Setting, I “set” the table with plates cut from Tangy Orange card stock and Kraft card stock and flatware cut from Primitive Cream card stock. To complete the set, I created a place card and napkin ring, using Die-namics Napkin Ring and Place Card. The center of the napkin ring was cut using Die-namics Pierced Circle STAX and stamped with Tangy Orange ink.

Here’s the inside with a sentiment from a previously released set, PI – Turkey Time. I’ve decided I like to layer Primitive White card stock on Primitive Cream card stock for a little variation on the inside of my cards. The sentiment was stamped with Tangy Orange ink.

Bright Idea–MFT September Teaser, Day Six

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with Day Six of MFT’s September Teasers! Today we’re previewing Laina Lamb Design Journal It - Head of the Class, Laina Lamb Design Document It - School Days, Laina Lamb Design School Days Die-namics, Laina Lamb Design Border It – Numbers Die-namics, and Flying Butterflies Die-namics. I decided to think outside the box for today’s card. The light bulb image and die made a light bulb go off in my head and this is what I came up with. First, I used the cut outs from Die-namics Sun Ray—I used the full negative on another card a while back and kept the cut outs—they came in handy for this card :) They are cut from Lemon Drop card stock and adhered to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I cut out the light bulb from Sweet Tooth card stock and Laina Lamb Design School Days Die-namics, stamping it with the “bright idea” image from Laina Lamb Design Document It - School Days in Black Licorice ink. I popped it up on foam and then added some clear gems for accent. Love how this turned out!

For the inside, I stamped a sentiment from PI – On a Picnic. I think this makes for a quick and very cute invitation :)

Fancy Butterflies–MFT September Teaser, Day Five

Here we are at Day Five of MFT’s September Teasers! Today we’re previewing Pure Innocence It's a Sign, Lisa Johnson Designs Textile Backgrounds, Mona Pendleton Designs Fancy Butterflies Die-namics, and Thank You Die-namics. You can see more samples from the design team by checking out the MFT Blog and don’t forget that September’s release in on September 3rd at 10pm!

I’m using MPD Fancy Butterflies Die-namics for my card today. I started with a Kraft card stock card base, then added a Berrylicious layer on which I stamped the dots from this month’s Free with $60 set, Large Scale Backgrounds with Sweet Tooth pigment ink.


Then I added part of a Die-namics Mini Chicken Wire cut from Kraft card stock and wrapped a piece of Black Licorice ribbon around with a hemp cord-tied Berrylicious button. I stamped the sentiment, from MPD Winged Beauties, at the bottom with Black Licorice ink, then adhered a Die-namics Large Leaf-Filled Flourish cut from Jellybean Green card stock. I finished up with a Die-namics MPD Fancy Butterflies element consisting of a Tangy Orange card stock bottom layer and a Black Licorice card stock lacy top layer popped up on foam.

Another sentiment from MPD Winged Beauties was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice ink.
