My Favorite Things December Release Countdown, Day One

My first card features More Rustic Wildflowers along with a couple of bees from Meant to Bee and Stitched Tag – Corner Square STAX. I cut the STAX from my card front and inserted another die cut from Farm Fresh Gingham Patterned Paper, arranged my flowers and adhered with hot glue.



I stamped the sentiment, also from Meant to Bee on Slanted Sentiment Strips and popped it up on foam to finish.

My second card features Stitched Star Peek-a-Boo Window from the December Release.



My background was done by stamping Snowfall Background with Rose Gold Delicata Pigment ink—I think it looks like confetti :) The shaker element was created and filled with Rose Gold sequins, and seed beads, then closed up. I added wine glasses from Wind Service Die-namics—I used Copper Sparkle card stock and colored with Copic markers to make it more pink, same thing with the Cheers Die-namics.



The 2018 element was done with Pop-Up Numbers Die-namics and I finished off with some baker’s twine—I think the twine adds a streamer look and along with the confetti is tres festive!

My Favorite Things December Release Countdown, Day Two

Hi, everyone, welcome back to Day Two of MFT’s December Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing Royal Friend Stamp Set, Royal Friend Die-namics, Friendly Forest Stamp Set, Friendly Forest Die-namics, Hybrid Ink Cubes - Set 4, Hybrid Ink Cubes - Set 13, and Hybrid Ink Cubes - Set 16. My first card today features this royal cutie from Royal Friends. I decided to give him a royal background by sponging Berrylicious dye ink on Sweet Tooth card stock then adhering Mesmerizing Mandala Die-namics cut from Brushed Gold card stock.



The little bear was stamped on No-Line Coloring Card stock with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, coloring with Copic markers, and popped up on foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Fishtail Frames Sentiment Strips Die-namics and also popped up on foam. I finished off with some enamel dots for a few more pops of color.

My second card uses Friendly Forest. I love to color but sometimes you just want to stamp some images and move on, KWIM? This set fills that bill perfectly!



I started by cutting Sweet Tooth card stock with the new Stitched Tag- Corner Rectangle STAX Die-namics and built my scene on it. I used Stitched Valley Die-namics cut from Sour Apple card stock and Birch Trees and Solid Birch Trees Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and Gravel Gray Card stock and adhered them to the base. Then I cut a frame from Cherry Wood Adhesive Backed Sheet using two sizes of Stitched Tag – Corner Rectangle STAX Die-namics and popped it up on foam.



I stamped the Owl with Cement Gray dye ink, the bird with Blue Yonder dye ink, and the fox with Orange Fizz dye ink, cut them out with the Die-namics, and popped them up in the scene with foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips and adhered on foam to finish.

My Favorite Things December Release Countdown, Day Three

Hey, everyone! Welcome to Day Three of MFT’s December Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing Meant to Bee Stamp Set, Meant to Bee Die-namics, Honeycomb Background. For this card, I started by stamping the flight trails on a Sweet Tooth card stock base for the background. Next, I stamped Honeycomb Background on Ranger Watercolor paper with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, did a watercolor wash, and popped it up on foam tape. Then I stamped some bees from Meant to Bee, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

I popped them up on foam, as well, then stamped the sentiment on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips, heat embossed it, and popped it up on foam for the finish.

My Favorite Things December Release Countdown, Day Four

I thought a new home congratulations card would be a great way to use Congratulations Circle Frame Die-namics so I created a little scene using Home Sweet Home nestled in the frame. I sponged the background and added the grass using Grassy Edges Die-namics cut from Gumdrop Green card stock



The sentiment is from No Place Like home—I had to adjust the words a bit but it was easy in the MISTI. I used mostly Die-namics for the card and foam tape was used for dimension.

For my second card I’m using the newly re-released BB You’re Super!! I’m so excited to see these girlies coming back again!!



To begin, I stamped the skyline twice with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Black Sparkle Embossing Powder on Sweet Tooth card stock. This glitter is gorgeous, with a rainbow of colors mixed in the black. Then I sponged the night sky, starting with Lemon Chiffon dye ink at the bottom, then Blue Breeze dye ink, Blueberry dye ink, and finishing up with After Midnight dye ink. I splattered some watered down white craft paint for the stars, added some Black & White Basics patterned paper across the bottom and heat embossed the sentiment in white.



The images were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink on No-Line Coloring card stock, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam tape. I finished off by adding some stars cut from Tag Builder Blueprints 6.

My Favorite Things December Release Countdown, Day Five

Hey, everyone, it’s Day Five of MFT’s December Release Countdown! Release is on December 5th at 9pm Eastern. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the release details. Today we’re previewing Town Bear Stamp Set, Town Bear Die-namics, Open Road Die-namics, Our Town Die-namics, Stitched Tag-Corner Square STAX Die-namics, and Stitched Tag-Corner Rectangle STAX Die-namics.

How adorable is this little bear in his car, right? And that road? Awesome!! Perfect for a slider—which is included in the road die set. I did a watercolor wash for the sky and grass and cut the grass with Grassy Hills Die-namics.



The images were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink on No-Line Coloring card stock, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom and used foam tape for dimension. Here’s a quick video of the slider action:

My second card is very different, highlighting the new Our Town Die-namics. Love it!



I started by cutting Our Town Die-namics three times from Sweet Tooth card stock. Then, on an After Midnight card stock base, I hand drew the large star with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen, heat embossed the sentiment from Hand-Lettered Christmas stamps set, and splattered some watered down white craft paint for the starry sky.



The only thing left to do was to adhere the Our Town die cuts in a staggered pattern, the bottom one adhered directly to the card base and the other two popped up on foam tape.
