MFT February Release Countdown, Day One

First up I have a card using some products from the December card kit that are being released on their own tonight. This little puppy wanted to run around outside so I gave him an English Brick Wall Stencil background and some plush grass created by cutting Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green card stocks with Grassy Fields Die-namics.



The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Speech Bubble Die-namics. Dimension was achieved with foam tape.

Next up, it’s party time!



This card features Hooray Die-namics, cut from Silver Sparkle card stock, layered with white paper twice for strength. I layered it over a sentiment from Anything-but-Basic Birthday Wishes, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 31 Die-namics.



Lots of balloons from Party Animal were stamped on Ranger Watercolor Paper and colored with watercolor pencils, then popped up on foam to add lots of color.

MFT February Release Countdown, Day Two

Hello and welcome to Day Two of MFT’s February Release Countdown! So, whatcha thinkin’ so far? Pretty awesome release, right? Today we’re previewing Critter Condolences Stamp Set, Canine Companions Stamp Set, Canine Companions Die-namics, Paw Prints Die-namics, Magical Mandala Background, Magical Mandala Die-namics, Stitched Heart Peek-a-Boo Window - Previous Free with $60, and Heart Shaker Pouches.

I’ve got a couple of cards to show you using today’s products so let’s get to it. If you know me you know I’m a cat person but  I had the most fun creating this card with Canine Companions! To begin, I sponged my background with Sour Apple and Berrylicious dye inks. Then, very lightly with a pencil, I drew my hole in the ground and the dirt pile and went back and colored with Copics. Then I stamped and die cut my doggie and colored him with Copic markers, too.



I popped him up on foam tape along with some Puffy Clouds Die-namics and the sentiment which was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Speech Bubble Die-namics. To finish off, I added some hearts cut from Wild Cherry card stock with Tag Builder Blueprints 6. So much FUN!

My next card is totally different, using Magical Mandala Background.



First, I stamped the image on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Delicata Gold ink and heat embossed with gold fine detail embossing powder. Next I did a watercolor wash with some dramatic jewel shades of blue and green. I popped that up on some Brushed Gold Card stock that was adhered directly to the Sweet Tooth card stock base at a wonky angle to add a little contrast and to ground the card front.



The sentiment is from Anything-but-Basic Birthday Wishes and was also heat embossed with gold on Black Licorice card stock cut with Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and finished off with some matching enamel dots.

MFT February Release Countdown, Day Three

What an adorable Pure Innocence! And a girl after my own heart—I love to shop! To begin, I created a background by applying molding paste to Sweet Tooth card stock using English Brick Wall Stencil, then sponged it with Brick Red dye ink once it was dry then framed it with Single Stitch Line Tag-Corner Rectangle Frames Die-namics cut from Brushed Silver card stock.



My little girl was stamped with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic markers, except for the areas that I paper pieced. The sentiment was heat embossed and popped up on strips of patterned paper and Cement Gray card stock. I finished off with some matching enamel dots.

My second card rocks!



I’m using Jungle Vibes Stamp Set and Die-namics along with Musical Notes Background and Single Stitch Line Tag-Corner Square Frames Die-namics. I created a watercolor background and added the sentiment and some musical notes to it.



The images were colored with Copic markers and popped up in the scene with foam tape.

MFT February Release Countdown, Day Four

Welcome to Day Four of MFT’s February Release Countdown! We have lots more pretties for you today; be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details and remember that release is on February 6th at 9pm. Today we’re previewing BB Birthday Chicks Stamp Set, BB Birthday Chicks Die-namics, Splendid Swans Stamp Set, Splendid Swans Die-namics, Linked Octagon Frames Die-namics, Collage Cover-Up Die-namics, Hybrid Ink Cubes - Set 5, and Hybrid Ink Cubes - Set 15.


I love these little chickies!! I have a feeling they are going to get lots of use! For my card, I started by stamping Honeycomb Background on a watercolored background with Versamark and heat embossed with Pewter embossing powder, which really makes it look like chicken wire! Love it when a product can do double duty, don’t you? Then I cut some Birch Wood Adhesive Backed Sheet with Collage Cover-Up and popped it up on foam.



The sentiment was stamped on the long strip and adhered directly to the card front. Lots of chicks and balloons were stamped and colored and added to the Collage Cover-Up and it was pretty much done!

Next up is a gorgeous set called Splendid Swans—and they are indeed splendid.



First I created a watercolor background and cut it out with Linked Octagon Frames Die-namics. I added version, cut from Gold Sparkle card stock and adhered it onto the watercolored layer. Makes it look like stained glass, doesn’t it? I adhered it to the card base along with two of the swans, some cat tails, and a water lily—just lovely images!

The sentiment was heat embossed with Gold Fine Detail Embossing Powder on Black Licorice card stock and popped up on foam.

MFT February Release Countdown, Day Five

I am so excited about this month’s release! I love every.single.product so much! Starting with what I used on this card: Party Animals Stamp Set and Die-namics and Wish Die-namics. I sponged the “ground” part of my background, stamped the sentiment on it, stenciled clouds for the top and set a bunch of balloons floating up into the sky.



I popped up the “WISH”, added a rainbow banner and a sweet little tabby kitten to finish it off.

Next up is an ingenious way to present gift cards—we now have Gift Card Window and Frame Die-namics and Gift Card Pouches!!



I used Coffee Date Stamp Set for the background and a couple of coffee cups for accent, also using Coffee Cup Die-namics. The sentiment is from the new Gift Card Greetings Stamp Set and was heat embossed then popped up on foam on top of a strip of patterned paper.



To access the gift card, I added Essential Sentiments Zip Strips and a sentiment from Interactive Labels.



To finish off, another sentiment from Gift Card Greetings on the inside.
