Perfect Poinsettia–MFT October Release Countdown, Day Three

Hi everyone, it’s Day Three of MFT’s October Release Countdown! Release is on October 9 at 10am Eastern so mark your calendars! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details. Today we’re previewing PI Holiday Cheer Stamp Set, PI Holiday Cheer Die-namics. Trio of Trees Stamp Set, Trio of Trees Die-namics, Delightful Deer Die-namics, Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings, and Perfect Poinsettia Die-namics.




First, let me say how stinkin’ excited I am to have another Christmas script stamp set AND a new poinsettia Die-namics!!! Woot!!! For my card I started by cutting the poinsettia from Ranger Watercolor Paper, colored it with Peerless Watercolors and when it was dry sprinkled with clean water and assembled. Next I covered a Sweet Tooth card stock base with Black & White Dots Paper Pack then added a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock, stamped with Christmas Background and Delicata Gold ink, at a wonky angle.



Then I stamped Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings on more Sweet Tooth card stock, popped that up on a wonky angle and adhered the poinsettia. To finish off I added some Gold Glitter Sprinkles.

Tweet Holidays–MFT Release Countdown, Day Four

Hey, there, and welcome back to Day Four of MFT’s October Release Countdown! These little images are so CUTE! I didn’t think I needed much more than a sponged background for this adorable birdie family. I sponged the background with Berrylicious dye ink, stamped the sentiment, tied around some baker’s twine, and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with a strip of the brand new Candy Land Paper Pack across the bottom.



The images were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers and popped up on foam for the finish!

Joy from Me to You–MFT October Release Countdown, Day Five

Welcome to Day Five of MFT’s October Release Countdown and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in MFT Land. Release is on October 9 at 10am. For my card today I wanted to go kind of CAS and just highlight this adorable Santa and sleigh from Sassy Santa Stamp Set and Die-namics and another new product that you’ll be seeing more of soon, Snow Flurry Stencil. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring Card Stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers.



On After Midnight card stock, I spread molding paste through Snow Flurry Stencil, added Snow Drifts Die-namics, and framed it with a panel cut with Elegant Rectangle STAX Die-namics on which I stamped the sentiment. Dimension was achieved with foam tape.

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #405 - Need to Venti?

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.




I went with a coffee themed card for this sketch. I started by stamping the coffee cup from LLD Perk Up on Kraft card stock with Versamark for a subtle background. Then I added some Black & White Dots Paper Pack for the wonky panel and popped it all up on foam on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I cut LLD Coffee Cup from Birthday Blowout Paper pack added a corrugated card stock band (am I the only one with this still in their stash?) and a Sweet Tooth card stock top.



The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiments Strips and accented with a Wild Cherry card stock heart cut with Blueprints 27. Foam tape was used for dimension.

You’re All Kinds of Amazing–Color Throwdown Challenge #513

Hey, everyone, welcome to a new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Broni is our hostess and she has some cool colors for us to work with.

I decided to use some circles for my colors for this card. I started by sponging some Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Blueberry, Limelight, and Summer Splash dye inks and then cut them with Stitched Circle STAX Set 1, then arranged them on a Sweet Tooth card stock base and adhered them with foam tape.



Once that was done, I cut Friend Duo Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock and layered it with two copies of white scrape paper. Then I heat embossed the sentiment on Heavy Weight Vellum (love this stuff!), adhered the die cut sentiment to it and then adhered both to the die cut circles. The avoids using adhesive of any kind under the vellum—which is really hard to hide in my experience. To finish off I added some Sprinkles in the challenge colors.
