I added Sunny Skies Die-namics, cut from Lemon Drop card stock, some Puffy Clouds Die-namics, and the stamped and colored images, also popped up on foam.

Sending You Sunshine in a Box!

Hello everyone! Today I’m up on the Doodlebug Design Blog with this pop up box card using the Simply Spring Collection including Flower Girl and Oh, Boy Doodle Stamps and Doodle Cuts. This was so much fun to make! I’m not going to go into dimensions and mechanics very much because there are tons of tutorials available online, including how to make different sizes.

I’m using mostly the Simply Spring 6 x 6 Patterned Paper pad but the grassy design used on the partitions is from the Hoppy Easter 6 x 6 pad. Patterned paper panels were matted with Swimming Pool textured card stock.

Mostly I’ve used Doodle Stamps and Doodle Cuts on this but I also stuck in a few Mini Icon images to fill in. Images were stamped with Copic friendly black ink, cut out with the coordinating Doodle Cuts, and colored with Copic markers.

Here’s a little video showing how this card folds up for mailing.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to think INSIDE the box and create a pop up box card of your own!

Thanks for Being Someone I can Look Up To–MFT May Release Countdown, Day Five

Hello and welcome to Day Five of
MFT’s May Release Countdown! Release is on May 7th at 10am so mark your calendars now. And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details. Today we’re previewing SY Friendly Foxes Stamp Set, SY Friendly Foxes Die-namics, Flowers in Bloom Background Stamp, Greetings & Salutations Stamp Set, Skinny Strips Die-namics, Simply Thanks Die-namics (Previous Free with $60), Square Trio Shaker Window Die-namics, Square Trio Shaker Pouches, and On-Point Precision Glue.

As with all of Stacey Yakula’s designs, this set is adorable!! The cutes little foxes you’re ever likely to see :) I started by stamping my two foxes then masked the bottoms of the images and stamped grass images, all with Cement Gray hybrid ink for no line coloring. Then I colored them with Copic markers, added some tail detail with Copic Multiline in gray, and adhered that panel to a Sweet Tooth card stock base after stamping most of the sentiment, also with Cement Gray hybrid ink.

Then I cut Simply Thanks Die-namics from Fun & Frolic Paper Pack and popped it up on foam tape for dimension to finish off. No embellishments needed for these cuties!

And that’s it for Day Five of MFT’s May Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Four!

Beary Big Congratulations–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #435

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

As usual, I used a little creative license on my design ;-) But, hey! The sketch is a jumping off place so that’s a good thing, right? I’m using Town Bear Stamp Set and Die-namics for this card along with Open Road Die-namics and City Block Die-namics. City Black Die-namics went on first, cut from Cement Gray card stock with Lemon Chiffon card stock as the “lights”. Next Open Road was popped up on foam tape and the sentiment was stamped.

The images were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers and then popped up in the scene for the finish!

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Challenge Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

You’re So Cute–Color Throwdown Challenge #541

Hey there and welcome to a brand new
Color Throwdown Challenge! Amy Rysavy is our hostess this week and she’s got an interesting challenge for us.

I say “interesting” because three neutrals? I sat there thinking,”What do you do with THREE neutrals?” You do a selfie with critters, LOL! It did take me a few minutes to come up with this but I’m so freakin’ pleased with how it ended up!

I used All Lined Up Background stamped with Milk Chocolate dye ink, used BB Picture Perfect for the image, and mostly kept to the neutrals with some pink accents. A few low key embellishments finished it off!

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD541 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd541 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, along with our super talented May Guest Designer, Cécile Ribon!
