Best Witches - MFT August Release Countdown, Day Two

It won’t be long now! Two more day’s until MFT’s August Release! Today we’re previewing Best Witches Stamp Set, Best Witches Die-namics, Eerie Tree Die-namics, Tucked-in Turf - Vertical Die-namics, and Tucked-in Turf - Horizontal Die-namics. I love this adorable little witch! I don’t think we need to be afraid of any spells she might cast ;-) There are a bunch of images in this set but I just wanted to highlight her so I created a star-filled night sky and sent her flying past the moon and some bats. The images were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics and the witch and moon colored with Copic markers.

The sky background was created with several Distress Inks (see below for colors) on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and splattered with watered-down Copic Opaque White for the stars. It was popped up on foam on a Sweet Tooth card base covered with Tiny Check Paper Pack and the images added, also with foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics.

I always love the August Release because FALL, my favorite season! Today I’m the adorable Squirrel! stamp set and Die-namics. To begin I sponged a background with Berrylicious dye ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I stamped the images on No Line Coloring Card Stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

Then I cut Grassy Hills Die-namics from Gumdrop Green card stock, sponged the edges with Gumdrop Green dye ink and popped them up on foam on the card front after stamping the sentiment on the front panel. I added all the other scene elements and was done!

You're a Spooktacular Friend - MFT August Release Countdown, Day Four

Hello everyone! Welcome to Day Four of MFT’s August Release Countdown! I’m using SY Spooktacular Friends Stamp Set for today’s card. I did a bit of masking with SY Scene Builder for my spooky creation and also masked of that big ol’ moon but cutting my mask with Circle STAX Set 1.

The scene was colored with Copic markers and I sponged the night sky with MFT Premium Dye Inks (listed below). The starry sky was made by splattering slightly watered-down Copic Opaque White with a small art brush. The ghosts hanging from the tree were paper pieced to make masking easier and the sentiment was stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink

I used a watercolor background wash background, Grassy Fields Die-namics cut from Gumdrop Green card stock, Lemon Drop card stock for the sun, and Puffy Clouds Die-namics to set my scene. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring Card Stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers.

I created the interaction with the new Up & Down Interactive Die-namics and Spin & Slide Discs. I double up on the card stock for the pull tab and the main mechanism to add strength. Foam tape was used for dimension and to allow movement between the card front and base.

Isn’t that just the cutest??? I love that trampoline! It’s going to be fun coming up with other ways to use this new interactive die.
