We Go Together Like Mermaids and Water - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #450

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. What a great sketch! So much scope for creativity!! I’ve never met a circle element that I didn’t want to make into a shaker, LOL! Sometimes I resist, this time I couldn’t. To begin, I cut Tag Builder Blueprints 7 Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and Black & White Dots Paper Pack, adhered them together and cut out the circle element. I created my shaker with a Circle Shaker Pouch, 1/8” Scor-Tape, sequins and Silver Shimmer seed beads, and covered the back with a piece of watercolored Ranger Watercolor paper from my stash. Once that was constructed, I popped it up on the card front created from Watercolor Wash Paper pack adhered to Sweet Tooth card stock. Which in turn was popped up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

The sweet little mermaid is from Mermaid for Each Other Stamp Set, stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers. I popped it up on foam tape and added the sentiment flag, also on foam tape.

Sending You Oceans of Love Color Throwdown Challenge #556

Hi all, welcome to a new Color Throwdown Challenge!!! This week Lisa is our hostess and she challenging us to use these sweet colors, based on her inspiration piece.



I thought these were perfect colors for a peaceful tropical scene. To achieve that, I cut Beach Scene Builder Die-namics from Ranger Watercolor paper and watercolored each piece. After everything was dry, I stamped the sentiment, from BB Mermazing Stamp Set, with Extreme Black hybrid ink.

Then I built my scene, some elements adhere directly to my Sweet Tooth card stock base, some popped up on foam tape.

You So Rock the Crown - MFT Color Challenge #123

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Razzle Berry, Purple Rain, Cement Gray, and Sweet Tooth. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

It’s been a good while since I’ve played with alcohol inks and I thought this would be a great opportunity to do just that. So, I got out my inks and supplies and just started playing with colors to come up with this background. So much fun! Gonna have to do it again soon!

Once I had my background done I adhered it to a Sweet tooth card stock base and popped up panels of Sweet Tooth card stock on either side. The sentiment, from Queen for the Day Stamp Set, was heat embossed on Cement Gray card stock cut with Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics and adhered to bridge the gap.

I cut Crown Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock and twice from Sweet Tooth card stock, sandwiched them with spray adhesive, and adhered it the same way.
