Strike Up the Band! It's time for the MFT December Vault Release!

Hello and welcome to MFT’s December Vault Release! Today I’m using BB Strike Up the Bank Stamp Set and Die-namics and also being released is BB Adventure is Calling Stamp Set and Die-namics, ALM Martinis on Me Stamp Set and Die-namics, PI Crafty Friends Stamp Set and Die-namics, and PI Serenity Stamp Set and Die-namics, All are now available for purchase in the MFT online store!

I wanted to set a scene showing these adorable mice marching in front of a park and then into the city. That was easy to do by using City Block, Our Town, and Grassy Fields Die-namics. The sky was sponged using Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress ink, then I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and adhered the die cuts, both directly and popped up on foam tape. The sun was cut using Beach Scene Builder and the clouds with Cute Cloud Outlines.

Once that was all in place I stamped the images with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored them with Copic markers, and popped them up in the scene with foam tape.

And there you have it from me for MFT’s December Vault Release. Thanks for stopping by! I’ll have another card tomorrow to provide more inspiration for YOUR December Vault purchases. Now, go shop!

Let It Snow–MFT Color Challenge #131

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Grout Gray, Blu Raspberry, Sour Apple, and Wild Cherry. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I didn’t get a chance to use Classic Snow Globe Die-namics when it was release so I decided to try and make it work for this challenge. The background was sponged Blu Raspberry Dye Ink and the other colors were incorporated in the scene. The card front was created with Grout Gray card stock with stenciled with Snowfall – Vertical Stencil and everything was adhered to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

The sentiment, from Snow Globe Greetings, and the popped up snowflakes, from BB Snow Buddies, were heat embossed and adhered with foam tape for dimension.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Noel–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #467

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I do love Christmas card making season and I’m going to miss it so much! I’ve loved playing with Party Lights Stamp Set and Die-namics especially this year so I had to get them out one more time. I started by sponging some Berrylicious dye ink on a Sweet Tooth card stock panel and then stamped a branch using Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings with Jellybean Green and Gumdrop Green dye inks. next I stamped the cord from Party Lights Stamp Set and adhered the lights using Red Hot, Orange Zest, Pineapple, Gumdrop Green, and Cornflower card stocks. I added some Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 1 Die-namics cut from Gold Sparkle card stock and popped it up on a Black Licorice card stock base.

To finish off I cut Impact Alphabet from Gold Sparkle card stock to spell NOEL and popped them up on the card front with foam tape.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Merry and Bright - Color Throwdown Challenge #573

Hi, everyone, welcome to the last
Color Throwdown Challenge of 2019! The team is taking the rest of the month off to enjoy the holidays and we’ll be back on January 1 for the first challenge of 2020! This week, Broni is our hostess and she challenging us with these festive colors based on her yummy inspiration piece.

I’d had the kernel of this idea in my mind for a while and I decided to bring it to life today. I cut a bunch of Fab Foliage  Die-namics from Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green card stocks, arranged them on a Sweet Tooth card stock panel and adhered them with glue. The berries were added with a red Copic marker and a gold gel pen. This panel was trimmed with A2 Rectangle STAX Set 1 and adhered to Gold Sparkle

To begin, I cut lots of Fab Foliage Die-namics from Gumdrop Green and Sour Apple card stocks, arranged them on a Sweet Tooth card stock panel until I was happy, adhered them down and added berries with a Copic marker and gold gel pen. I trimmed it with an A2 Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 1 and matted it with Gold Sparkle card stock cut with A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2. I then cut Merry and Bright Die-namics from Poppy card stock and twice from white scrap card stock, stacked them with spray adhesive, then adhered it to the card front. I popped it up on a Black Licorice card stock base with foam tape and was done!

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD573 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd573 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our super talented December Guest Designer, Amy Tsuruta!

Huge Hugs–December MFT & Friends

All of our December Release products are available in the
MFT Online Boutique NOW! Today our team and some friends are taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present. We can’t wait to share our ideas with you so be sure to also stop by the MFT Blog to see who else is participating!

I love this new Crosshatch Polka Dot Background stamp!! It provides interest but lots of room to apply color in many ways, this time I chose to sponge on some Distress Inks in a rainbow pattern. First, I heat embossed the background on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with white detail embossing powder and then sponged Spun Sugar, Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Shabby Shutters, Broken China, Shaded Lilac Distress Inks then adhered the panel to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

Next I cut Huge Hugs Die-namics from Gold Sparkle card stock, popped it up on foam tape, and finished off with a bunch of enamel hearts in matching colors.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the posts linked on the MFT Blog by end of the day on Thursday, December 12th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, December 13th. Good luck!!
